ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

My Instrument Panel Cluster went out about a week ago. I turned my jeep on in the morning and it was flickering and very hard to read. I found a recall for the same year, make and model as my Jeep Gladiator but my VIN is not included. This is a serious safety issue as most of the time I cannot see my speedometer or my other gauges. I cannot believe there is no recall. Our local dealership is quoting over a thousand dollars to repair when it is obviously an issue with the manufacturer.

Instrument panel cluster stopped working. Therefore, I do not know my speed, how much gas I have, if my car is in four-wheel-drive, tire, pressure, and many other notifications that are located in this instrument panel I went to CMA Jeep dealer in Martinsburg West Virginia, they did verify that this instrument panel cluster was the issue, but they said this my vin was not under the recall. I’m confused as to why there’s no recall on this particular vin when clearly its and issue, but other 2020 jeep gladiators there is a recall on this particular part. Why is my Jeep not part of this recall.

Jeep Gladiator 7" instrument panel cluster (IPC) screen stopped working. This display shows vital vehicle information such as mileage, fuel level, engine temperature, battery voltage, tire pressure, and other important information. I believe this is a safety issue because of the fact that you have no idea how much fuel you have, which could lead to engine shutting off when fuel is empty. There were no warnings. No lights, buzzers, or any messages in the screen. There is an open recall on Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler models with the 3.5" IPC screen that stopped working (Stellantis recall #30B - issued Sept 5, 2024).
