Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2024 Ram 1500 vehicles. The driver's side air bag may not be connected properly, which can cause the air bag not to deploy as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

Potential Risk:
A driver's side air bag that does not deploy as intended increases the risk of injury in a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers secured the connectors for the air bag, free of charge. All vehicles have been remedied. Owner notification letters were mailed May 27, 2025. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is 08C.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Ram 1500 Classic vehicles equipped with heated trailer tow rearview mirrors. The mirror glass may detach from the driver's side heated trailer tow rearview mirror. As such these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Potential Risk:
Detached mirror glass can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2019-2022 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks. The tailgate may not latch properly due to misaligned tailgate strikers, which could result in the tailgate opening while driving.

Potential Risk:
An unintended tailgate opening while driving may result in a loss of unsecured cargo, possibly creating a road hazard and increasing the risk of a crash.

Potential Risk:

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2015-2020 Ram 1500 Classic, 2015-2016 Ram 3500, and Ram 2500 vehicles, and 2016 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis with a gross vehicle weight rating less than 10,000 lbs. The side air bag inflatable curtain (SABIC) inflator end cap may detach from the inflator, or the inflator sidewall may rupture.

Potential Risk:
A separated inflator end cap or inflator rupture can allow compressed gas to escape, resulting in the end cap or other components being propelled into the vehicle, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will inspect and replace as necessary, the SABIC assemblies, free of charge. Interim owner notification letters were mailed on October 4, 2021. Rear sliding glass window does not close using OPEN/CLOSE toggle switch (it will open but not close). Dodge technician that looked at it stated the the bottom seal of the rear window had come unglued and was not allowing the window to stay on it's track while closing. As a result, the entire rear glass window had to be replaced.

2020 RAM 1500 HEMI Broken manifold bolts had fixed with 34,000 miles now the truck has 40,000 and DO NOT BOTHER CALLING MOPAR. they can care less. said i needed to take to dealer and then call back to see what they can do so I asked the rep how many ram owners have yall helped when they took the truck into a dealer for diagnostic out of warranty? No response- shocker there. I stated that mopar knows about this ongoing issue for years and will not do anything about it . Only to be told that I have to take the truck to a dealer. Where they want to charge a fortune. Something needs to be done about this.

Back in December and January when the weather was below 30 degrees the rear doors would not open on my truck. By the time I got to the dealer the doors warmed up enought to allow them to open, well In March we had another cold snap and my daughters left rear door did not latch all the way and opened when driving about 20 miles per hour. I have the truck at the shop today and they say they cannot find anything wrong with the truck. This only happends when the weather is cold enought to hard freeze. The dash on my truck is bubbling. I have searched the internet and there seems to be hundreds of complaints of this happening on the new body style Ram. It sounds like a manufacturing issue and I believe should be a recall. It is $3,500 to get the dash replaced and it seems to be happening to a lot of people.

I have a 2020 RAM 1500 truck with 35,000 and one of the two bolts holding the exhaust together has corroded complete off and the second is heavily corroded. The flange where these bolts have corroded holds the complete front section and back section on the exhaust together so if this second bolt fails, the complete exhaust will separate in the center and be extremely dangerous if this happen while the vehicle is being driven. I also have friends who had had the same issue with their RAM 1500 Hemi trucks and see multiple posts on line complaining about this same issue.

November of 2022 I took my truck to the lithium dealership in Reno NV for an exhaust leak they reported back to me that they replaced the manifold passenger side. two weeks later exhaust leak returned they informed me that it was a lifter tick and there was no exhaust leak this was at 51,000 miles. The problem got worse I took it back to them twice with both times I'm telling me it was a lifter tick, but I could smell exhaust in the cab of the vehicle. Now that the truck is out of warranty it's 61,000 miles the exhaust leak got so bad I took it to a different dealership where they have found both exhaust manifolds were leaking and now that it's out of warranty the extended warranty has taken over. but with that said now I am without a car because the extended warranty does not cover loaner cars. the manifolds are both on national back order. the sad part about this is the lithium dealership said they replaced the exhaust manifold and they did not according to the Carson dodge dealership the manifolds were never changed. Apparently this is a known problem with these vehicles and the parts are on national back order. I just find it very disgusting that a dealership would kick the can down the road just so they didn't have to replace the exhaust manifolds or give me a rental car while my truck was sitting there so now I have my truck in the dealership with no ETA on when I'll get it back I'm having to rent a car on my own and still make a truck payments.
