Recall Date: Jun 2, 2025
Safety Issue:

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (Mitsubishi) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Outlander and 2023-2025 Outlander PHEV vehicles. Purchase 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander fall of 2021. Took first trip of over 200 miles on Highway. Noticed that speeds of 60 MPH or over, the hood vibrates(badly). Took to local dealership was told Mitsubishi aware of issue, and in the works to correct, and most likely recall to replace hoods. Just took in this week June 2023 to local dealership. Asked again about Hood issue. This time was told Mitsubishi not aware and no fix available or in the works. My concern is I travel a lot on major highways at over 60 MPH. What happens if hood flys up when driving 60 MPH. The hood would fly back break windshield, cause Death or serious accident. And that worries my wife and me. Dealership hasn't done anytime to ease my concerns

Potential Consequences:

P255/45R20 These tires from the date of purchase hydroplane at 45mph or more in mere light rain or a standing small puddle causing me to leave the road until it catches and then sends me the other way. it is very dangerous. I called Bridgestone they said no known issue and there is nothing they can do ref 1398758 spoke to mark. I contacted the salesperson several times he also agrees this is a known issue with other cars with these same tires, and stated he himself bought one and had to buy a new set of tires right away. This was a brand new car. This should not be happening. I am terrified to drive my car in the rain. Not to mention I can't and never have been able to leave the driveway in any snow or ice. But the rain? I have almost had it towed home several times on the highway during light rain due to being petrified. There is something wrong with the tread or something here

SERVICE BRAKES

Potential Consequences:

This car is a lemon. First the hood. Finally got that fixed. Then seat belts & fuel injection piece...got fixed. Then a whole piece fell off and was in my driveway. Took it to dealership & was told no way this was from my car because it was from and old Lancer that isn't made anymore. Then turned out it was in fact uses on my car. They took awhile but then replaced part. It was something for AC exhaust. Now it's the brake system giving me random mesaages WHILE driving that brake system is out but dealership cant duplicate measage and said my brakes are in "good" shape. What do I do? Wait for them to go out & I get into a serious accident? Also and rear camera going out when I'm reversing. Dealership couldn't duplicate it and said it was fine. Kept happening, I went back & they finally said mitsubishi can't figure it out & I just have to wait. Now the collision system is saying it's not functional and to be aware that it's "off." Now I'm nervous the structure of the top of my car is bad since I read that's another recall and the whole car needs to be replaced. I have had nothing but 1 bad thing after another with this car and it's frustrating. Why can these "off the manufacturer line for these 2022 outlanders" be completely recalled and cars replaced. Many to most of us that bought these cars have children we commute with everyday all day. This isn't safe. Help us all out Mitsubishi! Please!
