Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The wiring harness for the rearview camera and the center brake light may short circuit, which can disable the rearview camera image and center brake light. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 111, "Rear Visibility" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

The contact stated while driving 55-60 MPH, the check engine warning light and several unknown warning lights illuminated, and the vehicle lost power steering and braking functionality. Additionally, the vehicle lost motive power, and went into LIMP Mode. The windshield wipers also disengaged. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The contact was able to turn off the vehicle after several attempts. The contact stated that he restarted the vehicle after 30 minutes, and the vehicle responded as needed. The warning lights were no longer illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to the computer system. This vehicle at around 65 miles an hour and hit a bump in the road It will start a death wobble, shaking the steering wheel and vehicle uncontrollably out of your hand once you slow down you can get it back under control and continue on I have had this vehicle at two dealers and all they wanna do is change the steering damper. This has not corrected the problem and basically now I have a vehicle I can no longer drive safely.
