WHEN I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP THE GUY THAT'S IN SERVICES DIDN'T CARE OF MY CONCERN REGARDING THE CHEROKEE TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING DURING TRAFFIC ESPECIALLY IN THE FREEWAYS, ALL HE KEPT SAYING YUP YUP YUP. HE KEPT TELLING ME HE HAS A PAPER STATING THAT JEEP CHEROKEES NEW MODELS ARE BUILT LIKE THAT NOW. ALL HE OFFERED WAS TO DO AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST WHICH I HAVE TO MAKE AN APPT FOR AND GO EVERY 1,000 MILES TO GET IT READ. THE PAST FIVE DAYS, EVERY TIME I TURN LEFT OR RIGHT MY "LOW OIL PRESSURE LIGHT" COMES ON. I KEEP UP WITH MY OIL. WHEN I START MY VEHICLE AND DRIVE ABOUT A MILE, MY START/STOP WILL STOP THE VEHICLE AND MY BATTERY LIGHT WILL TURN ON WHEN MY BATTERIES LIFE IS AT 14.2 V. THE VOLTAGE OF MY BATTERY HAS BEEN MOVING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 13-14.2 IT WILL NOT GO ANY HIGHER OR ANY LOWER. MY CAR SHOULD NOT BE COMPLETELY SHUTTING OFF WHEN I'M DRIVING IT. AFTER MY BATTERY LIGHT POPS UP, A MESSAGE ON MY VEHICLE WILL SAY PUT YOUR VEHICLE IN PARK AND ONCE I DO I TURN MY VEHICLE OFF AND TRY TO START IT AND IT WON'T. AFTER THE THIRD TIME OF TRYING TO RESTART IT IT HESITATES BUT DOES START.
Corrective Action:

I PURCHASED A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE AND IN LESS THAN 3,000 MILES THE CAR BROKE DOWN. IT GAVE NO INDICATION, JUST COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF A FAST-PACED HIGHWAY AND ALMOST KILLED ME. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WAS LOW ON OIL AND THEY ASSUMED SINCE THE CAR WAS SO NEW THEN MAYBE IT HADN'T BEEN PROPERLY FILLED. AS THE VEHICLE APPROACHED 6,000 MILES, THE ISSUE OCCURRED AGAIN AND THE CAR WAS STALLED IN THE LEFT LANE OF A SMALL ROAD, BLOCKING TRAFFIC. NOW THEY TELL ME THAT THERE WAS A DEFECT WITH THE ENGINE AND THAT IT IS BURNING TOO HOT AND, THEREFORE CONSUMING THE OIL AT A FAST RATE. I CAN'T TELL YOU HOW SHELL SHOCKED I WAS TO HAVE MY BRAND NEW JEEP VEHICLE STALL TWICE ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND HAD NO IDEA HOW DANGEROUS THE MOTOR WAS. I PURCHASED A 2019 JEEP CHEROKEE AND IN LESS THAN 3,000 MILES THE CAR BROKE DOWN. IT GAVE NO INDICATION, JUST COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE LANE OF A FAST-PACED HIGHWAY AND ALMOST KILLED ME. VEHICLE RANDOMLY STALLED WHILE DRIVING. HAD OIL CHANGED BY DEALER VERY RECENTLY. UNKNOWN CAUSE. BASED ON RECALLS FOR RELATED VEHICLES, POSSIBLY CAUSED BY FAULTY TRANSMISSION OR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. OCCURRED AFTER STOPPING AT A STOP SIGN, AND THEN ACCELERATING UP TO 45 MPH ON A BUSY ROAD. SHORTLY AFTER ACCELERATING, THE TOUCHSCREEN WENT OUT, THE VEHICLE STALLED, AND THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO PULL OFF ON A SMALL AREA AT THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO LET OTHER CARS PASS. WAS ONLY ABLE TO GET GOING AGAIN AFTER TURNING OFF THE ENGINE AND RESTARTING IT.

THE RADIO OPERATES ERRATICALLY AND WILL BOUNCE FROM ONE MODE TO ANOTHER. THE AUDIO WILL GO IN AND OUT AS WELL AS THE AIR AND HEAT. THE SCREEN GOES BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN RADIO, CONTROLS, NAVIGATION, CLIMATE, APPS, AND MEDIA UNCONTROLLABLY WITHOUT ANY PROMPTING FROM THE DRIVER OR PASSENGER. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION EACH TIME IT ACTED ERRATICALLY CAUSING MAJOR DISTRACTION AND DISRUPTION TO THE DRIVER. THIS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS, HIGHWAYS, WHILE TURNING, AND WHILE PARKED WITH THE CAR ON. WHEN BROUGHT TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER THEY SAID THAT THERE WAS NO PROBLEM AND THAT NOTHING COULD BE FIXED.
