In the event of a low battery charge, the electronic door latches may remain locked once the driver or front passenger exits and shuts the door, possibly trapping someone who is unable to use the inside door release handles, such as a child in the back seat.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Potential Consequences:
After having my front windshield replaced due to a recall my front camera quit working properly. This happened a year ago. Since then I have had a warning come up on my dash ever time I start my car saying the front camera has a fault and the front collision avoidance does not work. Additionally this effected the following. I have no cruise control, no blue cruise, no lane keeping assist, no self park, no adaptive cruise control and no accident avoidance system functions. There was a service bulletin issued but it should be a recall as it effects anyone that has had the windshield replaced. Apparently the wires that connect the camera are ridiculously fragile and when the windshield was replaced they were damaged. I have been waiting since spring 2023 for the parts after software updates failed to fix the problem and Ford realized the problem. They are now on back order and it keeps being pushed back. The wires are clearly defective and should not have been used if they can be damaged by a windshield replacement. And issuing a service bulletin clearly shows that they know it’s a problem but they do not want to pay to fix for everyone.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:PROPULSION SYSTEM:CHARGING:CABLE/CORD:ACCESSORY
Potential Consequences:
The charging port on my Mach-E is failing. I am unable to change at the manufacture reported limit of 48 amps. If I try to charge my Mach-E at any rate higher than 32 amps, it will unexpectedly stop charging within 30 minutes, and only change the car 2% or 3% per charging session. Once I derate my EVSE to 32 amps, then my Mach-E can fully charge up to the 80% limit that I have set in the car within a single charge session. Several others have reported the same issue on the following forum post: [XXX] . It seems to be an issue with the temperature sensor in the charge port failing prematurely. I can confirm that the charging issue can occur outside of environmental factors like during a hot summer day. I usually charge during the late evening and at night, around 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., and the car always stops charging within 30 minutes. I have even charged successfully at a public L2 charger during the day when the charging cord handle was in direct sun light, and was hot to the touch. Potential Consequences:
Ford has installed a sub par HVBJB in my car which was manufactured in 12/01. In lieu of replacing the poorly designed unit they have added software that does not guarantee that the car will not brick. Numerous car have failed and I am afraid of having my wife drive the car at night for fear of it breaking down. This is a ticking time bomb.
Corrective Action:
Ford has installed a sub par HVBJB in my car which was manufactured in 12/01. In lieu of replacing the poorly designed unit they have added software that does not guarantee that the car will not brick. Was replaced by dealership still concerned that may fail any type of long-distance driving I'm concerned it may fail while I'm on the highway as once it's been driving for an hour and warm by the fact the fans are always on. I think there should be more done to solve this issue also known is the fact that they are promoting a performance edition vehicle with the same drivetrain basically as the eco-friendly entry-level car which two may have an issue with heat set the more you hit the accekerator the more the connectors heat up and chance for failure and the software feature did not help the car I drove. And as refuse to run when it failed all together . [XXX] did receive the required recall software update which did not stop me from failing on November 24, 2022 the car with the dealer getting the high-voltage capacitor replaced to this day we do not drive the vehicle anywhere other than around town.
