I got my Fisker Ocean One in Nov 2023, and the car suddenly stops on the road. The car gives multiple jerks and stops in the middle of the traffic. The car just becomes idle on the busy road. Its too scary. This issue is happening on every drive. If something happens to the battery and I don't even have the option to get out of the car as it is dead in the middle of the road. I don't know the issue and when I call the customer care and they don't even have the courtesy to call and find out what happened.

Defect Description:
SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
When using the "regenerative" braking function by taking foot off the accelerator, if the car encounters minimal uneveness in the roadway (ie bumps, cracks, potholes, uneven surface etc) the "regen" function terminates without any warning and the car "free-rolls" until I am able to apply pressure to the brake pedal. When it does this, the vehicle feels like it is accelerating, but I realize it is really just gaining momentum that if not quickly reacted to could lead to loss of control during turns and at intersections or crosswalks. I have had this action happen no less than 10 times in my limited ownership time, and I thought it was going to be addressed during an OTA update, but it is still occuring.

Defect Description:
UNKNOWN OR OTHER
Potential Consequences:
After driving the car for about 10 minutes, I parked and was unable to open the driver door. I tried locking and unlocking, shifting in and out of park, resetting the infotainment system and opening the window and trying to open via the outside handle. The door is supposed to always open via a ‘double pull’ from inside yet it never worked. I drove about a mile and pulled into a parking lot where I took videos. I then drove to another parking lot and sat in the sun and the door finally released. It took me over 45 minutes to get it to release. The interior safety approach of the ‘double pull’ never worked. There were no lights or warnings. If this had been an emergency, I could not have exited the car. I messaged the company and a technician called me about 2 hours later. I was already out of the car. Given that the safety backup did not work, I think this should be investigated. I have videos of the issue but cannot upload videos to this site.

The car door does not open from the inside. Despite multiple attempts to unlock the door from the inside, pull the handle twice, roll down the mirror to pull the exterior handle.. This has happened numerous times where we are locked inside the vehicle. I have put numerous service tickets in with no response from Fisker. Only thing they say is ‘we are ordering the parts.’ This vehicle was received November 2023 and we’ve been locked in the car numerous times and are afraid to drive anywhere not knowing if we can get out in a timely manner

Potential Consequences:
As long as you are collecting information, I have had various ADAS/AEB/Brake Regen/Front Collision Warning/Front camera not functioning/side sensor not operable errors from day 2 of owning this vehicle. They have been reported to Fisker with either no response, "just do a reset", or "we know it is very buggy. It will be fixed in a future update." This is since the middle of October. The latest information was that a "big update" was on the way at the end of January, and then two weeks later was told that it was delayed until mid-March. I am running version 11.1 of their software and still have the intermittent errors.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
The car has now on at least 6 occasions started to shake and rapidly decelerate after I pressed the brake to slow down or make a turn. The car dashboard then starts flashing the following warning signs: 1. "Brake system malfunction service required"; 2) "ASAS fault- Features Limited or unavailable. Drive Carefully"; and 3) "Battery Level low." Please charge battery now." The vehicle's steering wheel then starts to shake and the car then comes to a complete stop and shuts down. This has happened several times on crowded roadways putting me at risk of being rear-ended. The deceleration is very rapid and without any warning. I have a video of the car doing this and can send to you. Please note that the warnings on the dash appear to be inaccurate because each time this has happened the battery level has been sufficiently charged (making the "Battery Level low" warning completely non-sensical." I have reported this issue three times to the manufacturer Fisker. Once when I called for road-side assistance. On that occasion a company representative walked me through a reboot of the vehicle. I was hoping this would solve the problem but it didn't. The car has since done same thing about 5 to 6 times. I have sent Fisker two emails alerting them to the safety issue. The first emails was sent on January 10th and the second on January 15. In the second email I included a video of one of the above-referenced occurrences. In response to my emails Fisker assigned me two case numbers and promised to respond within 1-3 business days. To date I have received no response. I will not drive the car at this point for fear for my safety.

Corrective Action:
The car has now on at least 6 occasions started to shake and rapidly decelerate after I pressed the brake to slow down or make a turn. The car dashboard then starts flashing the following warning signs: 1. "Brake system malfunction service required"; 2) "ASAS fault- Features Limited or unavailable. Drive Carefully"; and 3) "Battery Level low." Please charge battery now." The vehicle's steering wheel then starts to shake and the car then comes to a complete stop and shuts down. Potential Consequences:
Firstly I think I must inform you that I am reporting this from the UK, I am a US citizen but live part time in the UK and this was a UK delivered car. I have also reported this to the UK DVSA. This is to report two problems that I think you should know about, both of which are potentially life threatening. 1.My wife became locked in the car and could only exit after the computer was rebooted. There is an electrically activated "Dead Bolt" that prevents the door handle from opening the door, this is under the control of the computer. If the computer system has a glitch, which it seems to have every time the car is driven, then the "Dead Bolt" may not release trapping one in the car. It seems ridiculous that this design has passed even a basic safety review. There should be a purely mechanical connection between the inside door handle and the lock, or a secondary emergency release handle. Imagine being trapped in the car after an accident with possibly a fire or the car filling with water and being unable open the door. There are many other reports of people being trapped in this model car on the Fisker forums etc. The Fisker UK sales manager told me of an incident where all 4 passengers were locked in the car for hours before a Fisker technician released them. I have returned the car to Fisker and have just received my money back, after telling them I would not drive the car again because of this potential safety issue. I think these cars should be taken off the road until the door locks are redesigned and retrofitted to every car. Someone is going to die trapped in one of these cars. Please take this very seriously, it reminds me of the Apollo 1 Catastrophe. 2. On three occasions while braking the brakes seemed to release while I was still pressing the pedal, the car even seemed to accelerate briefly which was very scary. On the third occasion I was stopping behind another car that stopped suddenly and I nearly ran into the back of it.
