I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. Owner surveys suggest that comprehensive updates, which should resolve these issues, have been successfully completed in under 30% of vehicles which were attempted. Additionally, the alarming figures shared indicate that only around 10% of the fleet has been updated in over five weeks, despite submitting over 800 Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) and my VIN is not one of them. This inefficiency raises serious questions about the reliability of the process. Other safety issues include random indoor reading lights lite up randomly during driving (specially during night) really a concern and they don't turn off. The ADAS feature very premature suddenly disengages features, the scariest of all it resistive braking. I was almost met with an accident. Furthermore, the fact that there are only approximately 20 service personnel available nationwide, with a mere five traveling to assist customers whose cars are rendered undrivable, is simply unacceptable. This lack of support exacerbates an already troubling situation. I urge you to address these issues promptly and transparently. I hope to see improvements regarding the ADAS system and entire process of the OTA safety recalls. Thank you for your attention to this critical matter.

Potential Consequences:
* Safety recall 24V499 - replacement of cabin electric water pumps. Pump was replaced [XXX] by Nuts and Volts automotive. Cost to me was $185.71 including parts, supplies and $150 labor. Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $175 for pump replacement and door handle checks. * Safety recall ?? - replacement of door handles that fail a pull test. I had a front drivers side and a right rear door handle that failed the pull test as administered by Nuts and Volts Automotive using the prescribed tool on [XXX]. Cost to replace will be $150 for NFC front door handles and $100 for the right rear, vs Liquidating trustee / American Lease is providing $100 for NFC door handle and $80 for others (right rear in my case). The tool was not available when the pump was changed. Problem - door handles being provided by American Lease (as designated by the liquidating trustee) are the original design and left over inventory. The newly produced better design handles are still in England with the manufacturer Chevalier. We need these door handles!! The recall for the ADAS alerts (cluster telltales) # 24V405 (campaign TSB70062404) - has not fully resolved the nuisance cluster telltale alerts. The OTA team needs to be more precise with the updates and not leave some of the numerous electronic modules partially updated. Some incomplete updates cause owners cars to malfunction or stop responding (BRICK). INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
On February 12, 25 my car received a software update. After the update I had several faults drive train, braking, camera faults, avoidance faults and the vehicle would not charge. It was basically bricked. The vehicle could not go into gear and was basically useless. I had to pay $1350 to have a technician get the car in a somewhat usable condition. It is still not back to where it was prior to the update. No warning were given to me before this unapproved update, that was done in the middle of the night, that basically ruined my car. I would hope there would be no further over the air updates. If updates need to be done, they should be done in person in case there are any problems with the update. The technician also told me that my motors are not able to accept this new update and if they try it again, my car will be bricked once again. I want to be taken off the list for any updates in the future. What they did to me is criminal!!

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Potential Consequences:
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding ongoing issues with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V499000. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. I received on OTA update to address 24V86500 Regen Braking Issues; some 4 weeks later my car is not operable. My high voltage battery shows 100% state of charge, but my range mileage eventually dropped to zero and remains there. Even after replacing the car's 12v battery, I cannot open the car let alone drive it. While I had a technician to my house to address my bricked car, I had her do the work for 24V49900 (water pump recall). As planned, the recall part was made available to her (and then to me) at no charge. However, the fee to replace it was $345 dollars, as seen in the attached itemized invoice. 1) I had to pay this out of pocket and there is at present no way for me to be reimbursed for the recall work. I am told a portal is coming to submit a claim for reimbursement from the bankruptcy trustee's designee, American Leasing. 2) The amount currently approved for water pump replacement is $175, meaning I will have paid an extra $170 out of pocket for work that was to have been covered at no cost to owners, as mandated by NHTSA. Additionally, I have had a Lane Departure Warning Failure indicator light that has remained on for about 6 months. At best, this is a distraction while driving. At worst, the system has not been operable for 6 months.
