Fisker Group Inc (Fisker) is recalling all 2023 Ocean vehicles. The instrument panel displays the incorrect font size of the Brake, Park, and Antilock Brake System (ABS) warning lights, and displays certain warning lights in amber instead of red. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems" and 101, "Controls and Displays." Additionally, multiple warning lights fail to illuminate during the ignition cycle bulb check, failing to comply with the requirements of FMVSS 138 and 208.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding ongoing issues with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V499000. I am writing to formally express my concerns regarding the OTA (Over-the-Air) update process for my vehicle. I received on OTA update to address 24V86500 Regen Braking Issues; some 4 weeks later my car is not operable. My high voltage battery shows 100% state of charge, but my range mileage eventually dropped to zero and remains there. Even after replacing the car's 12v battery, I cannot open the car let alone drive it. While I had a technician to my house to address my bricked car, I had her do the work for 24V49900 (water pump recall). As planned, the recall part was made available to her (and then to me) at no charge. However, the fee to replace it was $345 dollars, as seen in the attached itemized invoice. 1) I had to pay this out of pocket and there is at present no way for me to be reimbursed for the recall work. I am told a portal is coming to submit a claim for reimbursement from the bankruptcy trustee's designee, American Leasing. 2) The amount currently approved for water pump replacement is $175, meaning I will have paid an extra $170 out of pocket for work that was to have been covered at no cost to owners, as mandated by NHTSA. Hello, The bankruptcy court-ordered software fix may have addressed some initial problems, but it has also introduced several new issues. I am now experiencing a barrage of warnings related to radar, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), lane change alerts, and more. The constant alerts are not only distracting but also concerning, making me feel as though I might lose control of their vehicle at any moment. Additionally, the display system appears to have a mind of its own, further contributing to the unpredictable and unreliable nature of the car. It is shocking that this car was approved for sale in the first place, given the significant safety concerns and technical malfunctions it presents. One would expect that there are regulations in place to ensure that new cars do not exhibit warning lights or critical system errors on day one!

Potential Consequences:
I am writing to express my deep concerns regarding the ongoing issues that are being seen with the NHTSA recall campaign numbers 24V865000 and 24V623000. Specifically, the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) in my vehicle, which has become increasingly distracting and, frankly, dangerous due to an incomplete or failed 2.2 Over-The-Air (OTA) update is a huge concern. As a responsible driver, I value the safety of not only myself but also those around me, and this situation and others we constantly hear about make me question the process of the recall. Every week, a number of vehicles are reported as undrivable post-OTA updates, with statistics indicating that approximately 2%-5% of owners experience this issue. With 48-hour update windows, my vehicle becomes unusable for an extended period, which is highly inconvenient and concerning. Moreover, I've noted that partial updates are expected, potentially extending this downtime by another 48 hours. I have had a partial update that has left my vehicle in worse shape than before, what could happen if the process is tried again?
