Potential Consequences:

My car was scheduled the first week of the updates. The car would not update. Afterward, the batter drain was very noticeable. Now there is no internet service for the car... not from Fisker and while I can verify it connects to my home wifi and mobile phone hotspot, it will not allow data to the car. I took this to a dealer to have the water pump replaced, the car updated, the 12v batter replaced, the t-box reset and the door handle inserts replaced. They were unable to repair the drivers door handle (the LED lights actually generate smoke) and I cannot use the NFC to enter the car. Additionally, one day while charging the vehicle, all of the door handles retracted when I closed the door and the key was in the car. Thankfully the rear hatch was not locked because my DOG WAS INSIDE! This car is dangerous and no one is helping!

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

I scheduled a OTA update as recommended in the recall campaigns. I was given a 48 hour window where I was unable to use the car and must keep it charged at all times. After completion I saw that the entire update was not completed. And about a week later another update came where I was not notified or scheduled at all for it. I returned to a car with a dead battery. Upon jumping the car had numerous errors and alert signs all over the display screen. ADAS was now detecting non existend obstructions in all directions and was throwing alerts constantly while driving. One two separate occassions both the drives and passenger side doors would not unlock and we had to exit via the rear doors. On another 2 incidents there was no interior lighting at night and I was unable to see the buttons to adjust my mirrors, unlock the doors, or even turn on the headlights at night. The Rear camera stopped working completely and to this day it has no signal which makes it difficult to reverse this car as the rear window is so high and small. And the remaining cameras are all failing intermittently. Furthermore the brakes have been jumpy, with some instances where the brakes did not deploy immediately but felt delayed. NHTSA recall campaign numbers are below: 24V865000 (Roll away OTA-2.0) 24V865000 (Regen Braking OTA-2.2) 24V499000 (Water pump) 24V466000 (Door Handles) 24V405000 (Warning Lights OTA-2.1) 24V404000 (MCU/VCU Loss of Power OTA-2.1

Corrective Action:

I scheduled a OTA update as recommended in the recall campaigns. I was given a 48 hour window where I was unable to use the car and must keep it charged at all times. After completion I saw that the entire update was not completed. And about a week later another update came where I was not notified or scheduled at all for it. I returned to a car with a dead battery. Upon jumping the car had numerous errors and alert signs all over the display screen. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

My car pushed required recall updates without any indication that it was coming and the next day or two the battery died and car is now showing a red light at charging port and is stuck in neutral. I only received 1/3 updates so I don’t know if that was also the issue. It was executed poorly and bricked my car. I have no idea how to unbrick it to life.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

Description of Incident(s) On March 5, 2025, I discovered that my 2023 Fisker Ocean had undergone an unauthorized over-the-air (OTA) software update to version 2.2.2 without my knowledge or consent. I received no prior notification from Fisker or American Leasing, the current entity managing Fisker vehicles following the company’s bankruptcy in 2024. Additionally, I have no access to the vehicle’s cloud system or update logs to understand what changes were implemented, leaving me unable to assess the scope or purpose of the update. Following this update, I experienced two significant safety-related issues with my vehicle, detailed below. Driver’s Door Handle Overheating After the 2.2.2 update, the driver’s side door handle began exhibiting extreme overheating, reaching temperatures exceeding 130°F as measured with a non-contact infrared thermometer. This poses a serious burn hazard and makes the handle unsafe to touch for entry or exit. The issue appears to be electrical in nature, potentially related to a malfunction in the door handle actuator or power management system altered by the software update. The handle remains excessively hot even when the vehicle is powered off, suggesting a persistent fault. This defect compromises safe access to the vehicle and presents a risk of injury. Rearview Mirror Fan Constantly Running Since the update, the fan associated with the vehicle’s digital rearview mirror now runs continuously, regardless of whether the mirror is in use or the vehicle’s thermal conditions warrant cooling. This creates unnecessary noise, potential wear on the fan component, and a possible drain on the vehicle’s battery. While the digital mirror functionality remains operational, the constant fan operation suggests a software glitch affecting thermal regulation or sensor feedback loops, likely introduced by the 2.2.2 update. This issue, while not immediately hazardous, indicates broader concerns with the stability of the vehicle’s software systems post-
