FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

RCLRPT-24V499-7295: NHTSA issued safety recalls for 2 parts in July of 2024. I received messages in the mail from NHTSA. Fisker went bankrupt and I am unable to get these resolved. Lack of access to FAST tool for service providers and parts for #1 and #2. 1. Inspection and potential replacement of outer door handles due to sticking and failure to open 2. replacement of cabin electric water pump due to water pump failure causing loss of drive power there are also 3 over the air updates provided through 2.2 updates to owners through Indigo. I have received that but there continue to be problems of unreliability and regression of updates to lower version.

Potential Consequences:

The Fisker Inc has went for Chapter 7. The two recalls regarding the safety of the calls (recall #TSB10062408 and #TSB55062401) have not been properly deployed into my car, which were supposed adminstrated by the money given by Fisker Chapter 7 trustee to American Lease. American Lease has the duty to deployment the necessary tool and software update to my car. 6 months it has passed, my car only got partial software update and has no communication from American Lease as well as no driver side handle software to be released to Fisker qualified auto shops to replace the handle. American Leasing is demanding owners now have to pay for their software update, which should be free to owners.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Potential Consequences:

My 2023 Fisker Ocean One (VIN [XXX] ) was in the first cohort of cars to receive the Ocean OS 2.2 update during the 24 hour period starting on [XXX]. The update seemed to have completed successfully, but six days afterwards on [XXX], I stopped for lunch after driving a few errands that morning, and afterwards I came out to my car, opened it, then stepped on the brake pedal to start up the car -- upon doing so, I noticed that the three screens in the car that control its operation -- the driver's display (above steering column), the 17" infotainment display, and the HVAC "button bar" control display were all black (not illuminated) despite the car being powered on. In this state, the car could not be shifted out of park into drive. All of the other lights in the car that should have illuminated were illuminated, so I know the car had power, and I had charged up the high voltage battery to 80% SOC the night before. I tried several times over the course of the next few hours to get the car to work, but each time, the three screens in the car remained black and not showing anything. In the end, I had the car towed back to my home, so at least I could charge the high voltage battery and put the 12v battery on a tender (as required). From this first incident of "black screens on startup" on [XXX], each day afterward, I would test the car to see if it would start up correctly -- on some days it would start up with all 3 displays booting up into a functional state, on other days, I would again experience the "black screens at startup" and would be unable to drive the car. Only the Carplay screen I added to the car would be illuminated (shown in photo attached). I contacted Fisker-trained technicians who diagnosed the ICC as having been compromised during the OTA update. I found a salvaged ICC from another Ocean on eBay, purchased it, then paid to have it installed into my car and programmed to match it to my VIN number. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
