Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Pacifica vehicles equipped with an 8.4 inch radio display, 360 degree surround view camera system, and seat back video screens. A software error can cause the rearview camera image to remain displayed on the radio after the vehicle has been shifted out of reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rearview Mirrors."

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Dodge Journey, Charger and Durango, RAM 2500, 3500, 3500 Cab Chassis (more than 10,000lb), 4500 Cab Chassis and 5500 Cab Chassis, Jeep Cherokee and Grand Cherokee and Chrysler 300, 2014-2019 RAM 1500, 2015-2018 Dodge Challenger, 2015-2017 Chrysler 200, 2016-2018 RAM 3500 Cab Chassis (less than 10,000 lb), 2017-2018 Chrysler Pacifica and 2018 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. These vehicles are being recalled to address a defect that could prevent the cruise control system from disengaging. If, when using cruise control, there is a short circuit within the vehicle's wiring, the driver may not be able to shut off the cruise control either by depressing the brake pedal or manually turning the system off once it has been engaged, resulting in either the vehicle maintaining its current speed or possibly accelerating.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling various Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. THE VEHICLE STALLED IN THE MIDDLE OF A CITY INTERSECTION. I WAS AT A FULL STOP AT A STOPLIGHT, THEN WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN, I PROCEEDED FORWARD INTO THE INTERSECTION. AFTER PULLING INTO THE INTERSECTION, THE VAN STALLED. I HAD TO PUT THE VEHICLE INTO "P" PARK AND THEN RESTART THE VEHICLE. OUR FAMILY WAS IN THE VEHICLE AND HAD A NEAR MISS WITH ONCOMING TRAFFIC.
Corrective Action:

THIS HAS HAPPENED ABOUT A DOZEN OR MORE TIMES IN THE YEAR AND A HALF WE HAVE HAD THE VAN. THE FIRST TIME THE BATTERY DIED WAS LESS THAN 2 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASING THE VAN. NEW BATTERY WAS PUT IN AT REQUEST AT PURCHASE. DIED AFTER GOING MAYBE 20 MILES AN HOUR.

VERY FREQUENTLY THE UTHEATER APPLICATION WILL NOT WORK AFTER SHUTTING VAN OFF AND RESTARTING. WE HAVE GONE THROUGH 1 BATTERY A YEAR EVEN THOUGH IT IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE A 5 YEAR LIFE. AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT THE AUTO START/STOP CAUSES THE VAN TO DIE. I HAD TO COMPLETELY RESTART THE VAN. OUT OF NOWHERE DRIVING HOME DOING ABOUT 50 MPH IT FLASHED A LOW BATTERY ALERT THEN DIED WITHIN 2 MINUTES WHILE DRIVING. THANK GOD I WAS ONLY A BLOCK FROM HOME AND IT WAS DOWNHILL. MY VAN JUST HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED AGAIN AND AGAIN WON'T START. THIS BATTERY IS 2 WEEKS OLD. I HAD TURNED OFF THE AUTO START/STOP AS DIRECTED BY MY DEALERSHIP AND IT CONTINUES TO DRAIN BATTERIES. AFTER DOING RESEARCH I FOUND ABOUT 100 CASES WITH THE SAME ISSUES. IF I WOULD HAVE STILL BE ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN IT DIED I COULD HAVE BEEN HIT. MY 2018 CHRYSLER PACIFICA CONTINUES TO STALL WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION ON THE STREET. THE LAST TWO OCCURRENCES HAPPENED WHEN THE CAR WAS MOVING AT 25MPH OR HIGHER WITH MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL. THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED PRIOR TO THE FCA V53 RECALL BEING ISSUED, AND HAS PERSISTED EVEN AFTER TAKING THE CAR IN TO BE FIXED UNDER THE RECALL. IT SEEMS TO HAPPEN MOST OFTEN IN THE FIRST 15 MINUTES OF OPERATING THE CAR, AND ESPECIALLY IF I HAVE GONE ABOVE 30 MILES AN HOUR AND THEN DECELERATE (LIKE APPROACHING A LIGHT). THE CAR WILL LURCH, SHUT OFF, ALL THE INDICATOR LIGHTS WILL COME ON, AND THEN 'START/STOP REQUIRED' WILL APPEAR ON THE DASHBOARD. THE CAR ALWAYS SHUTS OFF WHILE IN THE "DRIVE" POSITION. SOMETIMES I AM ABLE TO REMEDY THE STALLING QUICKLY, AND SOMETIMES IT TAKES MORE THAN THREE TRIES. ONE OR MORE FUNCTIONS OF THE VEHICLE IS ALWAYS "UNAVAILABLE" AFTER THIS OCCURS. THE SUDDEN STOPPING HAS ALWAYS BEEN TERRIFYING AND UNEXPECTED. ON THE LAST TWO OCCASIONS (WITHIN A WEEK OF ONE ANOTHER), I HAVE COME VERY CLOSE TO BEING REAR-ENDED WITH THREE BABIES IN THE BACK SEAT OF MY CAR. I HAVE TRIED REACHING OUT TO CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE TO NO AVAIL. SECOND TIME WE WERE COMING HOME AND STOPPED (MOTION TO STATIONERY) AS NORMAL AND THE SYSTEM JERKED AND STOPPED WOULD NOT RE START, TURNING THE VAN ON AND OFF VAN STARTED AGAIN AND THE CAR BEHIND US WAS TRAVELING REGULAR SPEED LUCKILY SWERVED AND MISSED UP AND THIS HAPPENED A FEW MORE TIME DURING THE PERIOD FROM OWING THIS VEHICLE TILL NOW. (LESS THAN A YEAR) TOTAL OF 6 OR MORE TIMES ALL THE EVENTS THAT HAVE HAPPENED THE VAN WAS IN MOTION COMING TO A STOP THEN STATIONARY AT A STOPLIGHT.
