SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
My BMW 2016 is displaying a message “Secure Vehicle against rolling”. It just started one day last week. We brought it to our mechanic who said it was a known issue with this make and model car and there are other complaints on other forums and here as well. This is an extreme safety issue - the vehicle could roll and injure or kill someone. This car has less that 40000 miles on it and should be recalled by the manufacturer.

Potential Consequences:
The sunroof shadescreen failed to close: it is a safety issue because it is impossible to close the shade anymore and the sun is hitting your head and eyes all the time: when I first noticed it I was driving and a sound came from the sun roof and if I looked it would have been a crash. Taking to the dealership iwould cost 2000 dollars to replace. It is a manufacturer defect that that something that is used so infrequently fails so easily. To be honest we have probably used it only a couple dozen times since we have the car and I can’t believe it would fail so easily. I also read on forums that this happened to a lot of other car owners who are complaining about the same issue so it is something that the manufacturer should cover:

The retractable sunshade has fallen from the track obstructing the rear view visibility. The glue that was used is faulty according to several repairmen and no one will work on the part. Defect Description:
SUSPENSION
Potential Consequences:
BMW NA and its authorized dealership and self-funded arbitration program business practices and conducts are unfair, dishonest, and unlawful. I purchased my certified pre-owned car, a lease return with extremely low mileage, 25,922 miles covered under the terms of the BMW New Vehicle Warranty and the BMW Certified Pre-Owned warranty. My family's safety has been at significant risk by the willful negligence of the car manufacturer BMW NA and its authorized dealership. Since I purchased my car, it has had material defects related to its engine, engine electrical systems, engine and gearbox suspension, steering and wheel alignment, front and rear axles, intermediate and special transmission, fuel tank, and more. I recently discovered my car's existing defects codes stored and archived by BMW, referred to as Key Data. The existing faults are considered significant by a reasonable person when deciding whether to buy this car. I would not have purchased this car if I had been aware of the defects at the time of purchase. I also discovered that BMW's authorized dealership withheld material information about my car's defects when my car was at the repair shop overnight. According to my DCSnet Warranty Vehicle Inquiry document, BMW made some sort of repair on my car for that service visit without my prior authorization and filed a warranty repair claim with the manufacturer. I have spent months and countless hours attempting to resolve my car's defects with BMW NA, its authorized dealership, and their self-funded arbitration program, BBB Auto Line. On 11/08/2021, following subsequent repairs by BMW's authorized dealership, the check engine light came on while driving on the freeway.
