(Tesla) is recalling certain 2016-2023 Model S, Model X, 2017-2023 Model 3, and 2020-2023 Model Y vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving Beta (FSD Beta) software or pending installation. The FSD Beta system may allow the vehicle to act unsafe around intersections, such as traveling straight through an intersection while in a turn-only lane, entering a stop sign-controlled intersection without coming to a complete stop, or proceeding into an intersection during a steady yellow traffic signal without due caution. In addition, the system may respond insufficiently to changes in posted speed limits or not adequately account for the driver's adjustment of the vehicle's speed to exceed posted speed limits.

FOR ABOUT A YEAR I HAVE EXPERIENCED SPONTANEOUS FAILURES OF THE TOUCHSCREEN, LOSING ALL CLIMATE CONTROLS AND AUDIBLE SIGNAL ALERTS WHILE DRIVING WHILE THE SYSTEM REBOOTS. THE SCREEN EVENTUALLY GOES BLACK BEFORE THE SYSTEM REBOOTS. I HAVE REPEATEDLY TRIED AND FAILED TO GET TESLA TO FIX IT. THEY KEEP TELLING ME IT WILL BE FIXED BY THE NEXT SOFTWARE UPDATE, BUT THAT NEVER FIXES IT. ALSO, THE VOICE RECOGNITION AND NAV SYSTEMS DON'T WORK 5 OUT OF SIX TRIES, WHICH IS DISTRACTING WHILE DRIVING. TESLA ALSO CLAIMS THAT WILL BE FIXED BY A SOFTWARE UPDATE, BUT THE UPDATES NEVER ADDRESS IT. I JUST LEARNED ABOUT THE HIGH FAILURE RATE OF THE MEMORY WHEN TESLA SAID IT WAS EXTENDING THE WARRANTY ON IT. I ASKED TO HAVE THE MEMORY REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY, BUT TESLA REFUSES TO ADMIT THAT IS THE PROBLEM AND SAYS THE SOFTWARE FIX IS COMING BY THE END OF 2020. I HAVE EXPERIENCED ALL ISSUES WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAYS, SURFACE STREETS AND SOMETIMES WHILE PARKED.
