Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE and 2022-2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4XE vehicles. The high voltage battery may fail internally and lead to a vehicle fire while parked or driving.

Potential Consequences:
On the 2nd and 4th day of owning the vehicle the engine stalled while stopped I'm traffic at a red light. Both times the dash flashed "service transmission" and then instructed me to place the vehicle in "park". Once in park the dash instructed me to push the "start/stop" button but nothing would happen. I was stuck for a few minutes each time in traffic until the whole system finally powered down and I was able to restart. I brought it to the dealer the evening of the second engine stall and the Jeep was there for over a month waiting for a new transmission. They replaced the transmission even though this was a brand new vehicle out of the factory with serious safety issues and should have never been sold in the first place. There are many people on the Wrangler 4xe forums with the same issue please issue recalls! People are at risk of injury or death!

I leased a 2024 Jeep Wrangler since day 1 I have been having problems with the stereo system where it shuts off and on the whole drive. The screen goes black when I'm backing up the car and I find this dangerous because I almost hit a person while backing. I don't have control on the temperature because the screen is black so my windows would get foggy and the during the summer the Aircon doesn't work and during the winter the heat doesn't work. When my phone is connected to the car play and I'm using the navigation sysmtem it would shut of again and again to the point where im lost and almost ended up the the wrong way on the road, and also while driving the screen would turn on and show my backup camera while I'm on the highway. I have taken this car multiple times to the dealer service department and was told that its a software issues. it is now almost a year and nothing has been done about it. the car is a lease for 3 years and i'm paying $720 dollars per month for a car that I feel is not safe for me to drive. Please help me get a solution, I don't know who else I can contact in regards to this. I have a lot of videos that can attest to this problem.

2024 Jeep Wrangler 4XE. This is the second I bringing my wrangler to the dealership repair center within 30 day. first time they have replace new battery , I thought the problem had solved, and the same problem happened again. I drove to other state after one hour , dashboard cluster appeared red turtle and the Adaptive cruise control and engine warning light popped up. driving speed gradually drain to 2 mph. and I heard loud fan noise run at high speed, I have to wait 10 minute until the fan noise gone ,than I can continue to drive, luckily I can made it back home, second day I drive to the dealership , after 15 minutes driving the red turtle popped up again while I am driving on the highway. lost power again I then exit the highway , and wait until the the fan noise goes away, then I start the engine , the fan loud noise comes again, I shutoff the engine and waited again, I kept doing this 40 minutes , it still don't work I have to give up and called a tow truck to towed the 4xe wrangler to the dealership. repair time uncertain.

I stopped at a stop light and the car shut down and an error display to "service Transmission" and the gear shift would not move. A few seconds later the error changed to “Park Brake Auto Engaged Press Brake + Push Switch to Release” I did this several times. After about 10 minutes the vehicle started with a service error message stil on the dash.

Just leaving the parking garage after work, I was exiting and the my jeep wrangler just turned off. Light flashed service transmission and shift vehicle park. Once I shifted the vehicle to park and tried to start nothing happened. After about 5 mins and blocking all traffic trying to leave the parking garage my jeep started. Not sure what’s up but if this happens at freeway speed it could be dangerous.

On [XXX], my wife was driving down the highway and vehicle started to "buck" and almost stalled out. Check engine light came. She was able to make it to the dealer. Dealer ran the diagnostics and received the P0032, P0171, P2097 and P0300 codes. The dealer found the attached document with basically no repair available. We contacted Jeep customer service and were told that it needs a software update, however, they did not know when it would be available. I was not satisfied with that answer and the case was transferred to Jeep retention. In the meantime, we picked up our Jeep and was advised by the service advisor that this is a known issue and advised us to keep the Star publication in the Jeep so if/when it happens again, they will know what to do. This isn't something we can fix since resetting the fuel system requires their equipment. Jeep retention just reiterated what customer service said. I bought a new jeep wrangler 4xe 2024. I drove the wrangler first day to city , and the dashboard suddenly popped up red little turtle warning light, vehicle started lost power in the middle of the street, it was crawling no more than 5 MPH. I randomly pressed the cruise control ACC couple minute the warning light went off, and I continued to drive on the road, the wrangler dashboard popped up the red turtle warning light again after I got off the bridge, vehicle no power again ,I have to double park on the street , I turn off the engine and turned it back on the red turtle warning light still there, I heard there is a fan on top of the dashboard blew with loud noise , fast speed and then it gradually slowing down, then the warning light went off, so I could continually drove back to office, I luckily I can make it back to office. I don't think it is safe to drive this vehicle, it could be happen if driving on the highway with 55 mph, it could lost power while driving on the highway, it is serious danger.

When driving through the a parking lot on my way to work, my brand new Wrangler with just over 1000 miles stalled/stopped running and lost power steering and wouldn’t restart for about 10 mins. I got a bunch of error messages but I can’t remember them all but one was about servicing the charging station (it wasn’t plugged in) and I had a check engine light stay on after I finally got it to start. It’s currently at the dealership and the tech mentioned that he saw there was a PIM (power inverter module) code that looks to have malfunctioned. They haven’t been able to duplicate the error yet at the dealership. My safety will for sure be at risk if the dealership doesn’t fix it because my car could randomly turn off on the highway and could put me at risk of being hit or if I was crossing traffic and it stalled in the middle of a lane causing me to get or it could leave me stranded in a dangerous area. No one other than the dealership maintenance department a has inspected yet.
