The trailer hitch assembly may have been attached with only a single fastener per side, not three per side as required.

(Daystar) is recalling certain aftermarket replacement rear control arm brackets included in Daystar's 2015-2016 Jeep Renegade 1.5" spacer kit, part KJ09168BK, shipped from Daystar to distributors between October 27, 2015 and November 5, 2015. The affected spacers may have improper or incomplete welds on the top flange on the rear control arm bracket, that can allow the rear axle to shift while driving.

"POWER TRANSMISSION" IN JULY OF 2018 IN RUSH HOUR IN LAS VEGAS (5PM-5:30PM) WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND FOOT WAS ON THE ACCELERATOR THE 2016 JEEP RENEGADE POWERED OFF & SHUT DOWN. HAD TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART FOR THE VEHICLE TO START UP AGAIN. THIS HAPPENED ON A VERY BUSY STREET ROAD. IN AUGUST OF 2018 IN RUSH HOUR IN LAS VEGAS (4:30PM-5:30PM) WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AND FOOT WAS ON THE ACCELERATOR THE 2016 JEEP RENEGADE POWERED OFF & SHUT DOWN. HAD TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE AND RESTART FOR THE VEHICLE TO START UP AGAIN. THIS OCCURRED ON A SLIGHTLY BUSY STREET ROAD. THIS HAPPENED TWICE. JEEP RENEGADE PARKING BRAKE CAME ON AND WOULD NOT GO OFF. JEEP WAS UNABLE TO BE MOVED AND HAD TO BE DRAGGED UP ON TOW TRUCK AND DRAGGED INTO THE SHOP. THIS CREATED A HAZARDOUS SITUATION AS THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE MOVED TO SAFETY. ALSO JEEP FAILED TO COVER AND OF THE REPAIRS.
