Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Dodge Journey, Jeep Compass, and Jeep Patriot vehicles manufactured May 9, 2016, to July 15, 2016. The crankshaft or camshaft sensor may only work intermittently, causing the engine to stall.

CAR SHUTS OFF AND LOSES POWER AT VARIOUS SPEEDS 1-65 MILES PER HOUR. WHEN IT LOSES POWER THE POWER STEERING GOES OUT AND YOU BETTER PULL OVER FAST OR YOU WONT BE ABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL YOU CAN GET IT TO START BACK UP. SOMETIMES IT TAKES A WHILE TO START BACK UP. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING TO ME FOR 5 MONTHS NOW'. I'VE TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP 2 TIMES AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME NOTHING IS WRONG... I NEVER GOT NOTIFIED OF ANY RECALLS AND THEY DIDNT EVEN INVESTIGATE TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL ON MY JEEP PATRIOT THE TWO TIMES I'VE HAD IT IN.
