ON JUNE 15, 2020, I TURNED LEFT ONTO A CITY STREET AND MY VEHICLE BEGAN MAKING THE WARNING SOUND, THE SAME SOUND WHEN THE SEATBELT ISN'T BUCKLED. A FEW SECONDS LATER WHEN I TURNED RIGHT INTO ANOTHER CITY STREET, THE BATTERY LEVEL WARNING CAME ON, THEN THE ENTIRE DASH LIT UP AND THE VEHICLE QUIT. AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS TO RESTART, THE ENGINE CAME BACK ON. THE NEXT DAY AFTER I MADE A LEFT TURN, THE SAME THING OCCURRED, THE BATTERY LEVEL FLASHED ON THE DASH, THEN THE ENTIRE DASH LIT UP AND THE ENGINE SHUT DOWN. I WASN'T ABLE TO STEER THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. IT TOOK 5 ATTEMPTS BEFORE THE ENGINE WOULD RESTART. ON THE JUNE 18TH SOON AFTER I PULLED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY ONTO A CITY STREET, THE SAME EVENT OCCURRED, THE DASH LIT UP AND THE ENGINE STOPPED, HOWEVER THIS TIME I WASN'T MAKING A TURN, BUT I HAD SLOWED DOWN BECAUSE ANOTHER VEHICLE COMING IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION HAD VEERED CLOSE TO MY SIDE OF THE ROAD.IT TOOK SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO RESTART THE ENGINE, AND IT SOON CUT OFF AGAIN BEFORE I GOT IT BACK IN THE DRIVEWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HOLDEN DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM LOCATED AT 640 S GOVERNORS AVE, DOVER, DE 19904, WHERE THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE OIL WAS TOPPED OFF MORE FREQUENTLY AND THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE OF A LEAK DETECTED. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT NOT TO TOP OFF THE OIL. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 5,000.
