Potential Consequences:

See that there is a voluntary recall, to start, my first occasion, I was driving down a busy highway with my child in the car. The check engine light engaged, all lights on dash came on and the car stopped while I was driving down the highway. Luckily we didn’t get injured. This stopped for a while, then restarted 3-4 more times after slowing to a stop in the middle of a road, highway. Now, the engine jerks so hard when accelerating, or when slowing down as if the engine was ready to fall out. This is extremely dangerous and needs the recall to be in effect, fixed as soon as possible before someone gets killed. Parts on back order indefinitely is unbelievable. What are we supposed to do? Drive, and hope that we don’t get killed because of a defect??

POWER TRAIN

Potential Consequences:

My car has less than forty five thousand miles on it. The rear diferential cracked. I have seen a lot of the same problem with other Jeep Cherokees and the differential cracks in the same spot each time, leading many of us to believe this was caused by a manufacturing defect. My car is recently out of power train warranty and the repair is over four thousand dollars. While I don't know if this is related, in the car wash, my vehicle will flash a warning that I need to put the car in park and press the brake or it won't go into drive. This is very distressing because in the car wash. There is usually a car moving a couple of feet behind me can I can't press on the brake and put the vehicle in park.
