Safety Issue:

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2023 Honda Accord, Civic Coupe, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V, Ridgeline, Odyssey, Acura ILX, MDX, MDX Hybrid, RDX, RLX, TLX, 2019-2022 Honda Insight, Passport, 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, 2018-2019 Honda Clarity PHEV, Fit, and 2015-2020 Honda Accord Hybrid, Pilot, Acura NSX vehicles. The fuel pump inside the fuel tank may fail.

Potential Risk:
Fuel pump failure can cause an engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the fuel pump module, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed September 6, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's numbers for this recall are KGC and KGD. This recall is an expansion of NHTSA recall numbers 21V-215 and 20V-314.

Safety Issue:

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2016-2018 Acura MDX, 2015-2019 Acura TLX and 2015-2017 Honda Accord vehicles, equipped with a 3.5L V6 engine. Particulates in fuel may adhere to the internal components of the fuel pump, reducing its performance.

Potential Risk:
Reduced fuel pump performance can result in an engine stall, increasing the risk of crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will update the fuel injection engine control unit (FI-ECU) software and, if necessary, replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The recall began March 25, 2019. Owners may contact customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Acura's recall number for this recall is P3W. Honda's recall number for this recall is N3X.

Safety Issue:

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2013-2016 Honda Accord vehicles. The case for the battery sensor, part of the battery management system, may allow water to get in, potentially causing an electrical short.

Potential Risk:
An electrical short increases the risk of a fire.
FREE Recall Solution:
Honda will notify owners, and dealers will replace the sensor, free of charge. Dealers will perform an interim remedy of applying adhesive to the case to prevent water intrusion. The recall began November 8, 2017. Owners may contact American Honda Customer Support Center at 1-888-234-2138. Honda's number for this recall is KG0.

DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS LED BOTH PARTIALLY BURNT AND ONLY HALF OF THE LED LIGHT COME ON. THIS HAPPEN THIS WEEKEND 7/24/2020 AND 7/25/2020. PER SERVICE BULLETIN 19-042 DATED 4/16/2019 FROM HONDA ON NHTSA WEBSITE, THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2016 HONDA ACCORDS. HOWEVER THE RECALL DOES NOT APPLY MY 2016 MODEL PER VIN. I NEED HELP AS DEALER CANNOT ASSIST. THERE'S LOTS OF INFORMATION ONLINE ABOUT THIS RECALL. TOTALLY REFLECTS THE SITUATION WE ARE HAVING AND AGAIN EVEN THE SAME YEAR AND MODEL AS MY VEHICLE BUT WHY ARE SOME CARS EXCLUDED? IT JUST DOES NOT SEEM RIGHT. THIS IS AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR. I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY AND MY CAR STARTED STALLING A JERKED FORWARD ALMOST CAUSING A COLLISION I PULLED OVER TO A SAFE AREA AND CALLED MY FAMILY MEMBER HE HAD TO DRIVE IT TO ADVANCE AUTO AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS A FAULTY FUEL PUMP. I CALLED HONDA AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND GOT THE CAR TOWED TO HONDA WHERE IT WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED AS A FUEL PUMP TO BE REPLACED PER THEM MY CAR HAD NO OTHER ISSUES AS I ALWAYS KEEP UP THE MAINTENANCE ON THE CAR AS I'M STILL PAYING FOR IT. THE ONLY COMPANY THAT HAS THIS PART WAS HONDA SO THEY ORDERED THE PART AND ATTEMPTED TO REPLACE IT. ONCE I RECEIVED MY CAR BACK I NOTICED A STRONG GAS SMELL AND STALLING TO CRANK. I CALLED GARDENA HONDA (IN LOS ANGELES CA) AND THEY TOLD ME MY 2016 HONDA ACCORD WAS NOT PART OF THE BATTERY SENSOR RECALL BUT THE SERVICE PERSON TOLD ME THAT SHE HAD SEEN MY EMAIL AND FORWARDED IT TO HER SUPERVISOR, AND THAT SHE WOULD SPEAK TO HIM TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO. SHE TOLD ME THAT HER SUPERVISOR SAID TO IMMEDIATELY BRING IT INTO THE GARDENA, CA HONDA DEALERSHIP. UPON ARRIVAL THE SERVICE PEOPLE TOLD ME THEY WOULD DEFINITELY BE CHARGING ME AT LEAST $160 FOR A DIAGNOSIS. I THEN EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I WAS MISLED, AS WHEN I INITIALLY CALLED I WAS TOLD THAT SHE WOULD CHECK TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO AND THAT SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK. AT NO TIME DID SHE SAY I WOULD BE CHARGED FOR ANYTHING. INSTEAD, SHE MISLEAD ME BY SAYING SHE HAD SPOKEN TO HER SUPERVISOR AND THAT HE SAID TO BRING IT IN IMMEDIATELY. THEY MISLEAD ME, WASTED MY TIME, AND ARE PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES IN DANGER AS ALTHOUGH MY VEHICLE (2016 HONDA ACCORD WITH VIN IS APPARENTLY NOT PART OF THE RECALL, MY CAR'S BATTERY CAUGHT FIRE AND I AM SURE OTHER PEOPLE'S CAR'S WILL ALSO CATCH FIRE. THE RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED BEYOND THE CURRENT LIST. *DT THE CONSUMER STATED A METAL PIECE INTENDED TO HOLD THE BATTERY IN PLACE LOOSENED AND CAME IN CONTACT WITH THE POSITIVE TERMINAL OF THE BATTERY CAUSING THE FAILURE.*JS

LAST NIGHT MY DASHBOARD LOST ELECTRICITY FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS AND MY ENGINE STALLED. I LOST POWER STEERING CONTROL. AFTER 2 SECONDS, ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS OF THE DASHBOARD RETURNED TO NORMAL, AS DID THE POWER STEERING AND ENGINE, AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. THIS MORNING, I DROVE ON A STREET & SMOKE ENTERED THE CABIN AREA OF THE CAR & I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY. OPENED THE HOOD AND THE BATTERY (POSITIVE TERMINAL) WAS FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. A GENTLEMAN PUT OUT THE FIRE WITH WATER FROM THE GAS STATION. MY BATTERY IS 1/4 MELTED, DUE TO THE FIRE. OTHER PLASTIC PARTS OF THE ENGINE ARE ALSO SLIGHTLY MELTED.
