I have a failure of the spot welds of the door check arm in my vehicles driver-side door (3-days ago on Monday, 03/18/24). It has broken off. This arm ensures the door safely closes. I sometimes have trouble closing / securing the door. And now the window will not roll down as of yesterday. I have contacted my Ford dealership & Ford customer service and both tell me cannot fix the problem because the do not know how to fix it yet & do not have the parts to fix it. They tell me that this is an "Advance Recall" notice (#23B56) that has not been publicly sent out yet and that I'll have to either pay some else to fix it or wait until the end of the 2nd quarter of 2024. If Ford does not know how to fix it OR have the parts to fix it, how is anyone else going to fix it? This is a safety & liability issue.

Defect Description:
STRUCTURE:BODY
Potential Consequences:
The door welds (arm check) have broken. I took it a ford dealer and have been told there is no recall. When I took it to a body shop, they told me all of the door welds are weak and need replacement. I was quoted $6500. For a new vehicle (2020) it seems like a manufacturing defect and there are no recalls and it is too expensive for me to fix. Please help.
