Fisker Group Inc (Fisker) is recalling all 2023 Ocean vehicles. The instrument panel displays the incorrect font size of the Brake, Park, and Antilock Brake System (ABS) warning lights, and displays certain warning lights in amber instead of red. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 135, "Light Vehicle Brake Systems" and 101, "Controls and Displays." Additionally, multiple warning lights fail to illuminate during the ignition cycle bulb check, failing to comply with the requirements of FMVSS 138 and 208.

Potential Consequences:
Several potential dangerous situations have occurred with this car. 1. Brakes often fail on first attempt, only stops with pumping them. 2. Car randomly swerved to right twice, each time stopping by hitting something. 3. Car has locked itself and am unable to unlock with key fob, had to manually force it open. 4. Accelerator pedal has weird clicking to it. 5. Strange cracking sound from solar roof. It is impossible to get any type of service for this car as Fisker is unresponsive to phone calls or email attempts. The tech in the Delaware region has been terminated and since the car is undeliverable it is impossible to get to the closest one which seems to be Atlanta. No way of knowing if they will ever service the car.

There are two display screens in the Fisker Ocean. One is small, in front of the driver. The second screen is mounted center of the dashboard. About 4 weeks ago I experienced a complete failure of the larger center information screen, which includes control over settings, navigation, bluetooth connections, phone calling, audio channels, charging (amps) settings, trip meters, odometer, owner's manual and A/C control. This renders the vehicle undrivable in the typical Texas day -- NO Air conditioning! I have sent numerous emails to the help/support line and have called Fisker. I have an incident / case number but no response from the company about how to fix this. Case [XXX] There are also numerous warnings, alarms, beeps and resets while the car is being driven. Periodically, both screens go blank, causing the driver to wonder if the car will stop abruptly in traffic. I drive this car daily only in my neighborhood at slow speeds to check status of this condition. It has not improved since May 17. I am afraid of driving this car on the highway or any street where there is traffic. I am awaiting someone from Fisker to fix this dangerous condition. Ghost lights - the backseat lighting turns on and off during driving. It can be turned off after a few presses from the front overhead controls, but then will turn on again on its own. This creates a dangerous situation at night. This has been happening since the update to 2.0 software.

I was approaching a red traffic light. I merged into the turn lane, hit a bump in the road and the car lunged forward on its own and accelerated. I was able to apply the brake and not hit the car in front of me. This was terrifying and put me and the cars ahead of me at risk. The car has not been inspected because Fisker Service no longer answers the phone to help customers with safety or mechanical issues. You can be on hold for hours and then they hang up on you. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the problem. The mobile technicians have been laid off so there is no help for customers with issues.06

The car has not been inspected because Fisker Service no longer answers the phone to help customers with safety or mechanical issues. You can be on hold for hours and then they hang up on you. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the problem. The mobile technicians have been laid off so there is no help for customers with issues.06

I was approaching a red traffic light. I merged into the turn lane, hit a bump in the road and the car lunged forward on its own and accelerated. I was able to apply the brake and not hit the car in front of me. This was terrifying and put me and the cars ahead of me at risk. I am unable to receive software updates from Fisker. I am currently using version 1.11 but many other customers have already received version 2.0 and 2.1. My safety is at risk because the 2.0 update has safety updates that improve the car's safety but I am not able to receive them. I have reached out to Fisker twice via telephone with no luck. I have reached out to my service technician with no luck and he has now been laid off. One of the safety features is a "H" for "hold" so that when you are on a hill, the car automatically holds for you. I currently roll backwards when on a hill and have to slam on brake to not roll down hill. There have been no warnings.

Date is ongoing since November 2023. I am writing to report a safety concern related to the key fob of my Fisker Ocean One. On December 10 & 22, 2023, March 20 & 29, 2024, I have been locked out of the car for prolonged periods of time of more than 30 minutes and up to 5 hours. I have experienced daily failure to properly lock and unlock the vehicle, once I am in the vehicle even when putting the key fob up next to the NCF reader, the vehicle notifies me that no key can be detected, and the car will not start/go into ready mode. Issues continues daily which leaves me stranded and unable to access the car in an emergency. I cannot properly secure the vehicle against theft and unauthorized use, and it deactivates the vehicle's immobilizer system. Continuous signal transmission from a defective key fob can drain the vehicle's battery leading to further reliability. I believe this is a significant safety issue that could potentially affect other Fisker Ocean owners. Vehicle has been in limp mode unable to accelerate and Fisker reps cannot repair for 75+ days. The vehicle is unsafe to operate, I cannot accelerate to get out of harms way or notify other operators that the vehicle is slowing and cannot maintain minimum speed in traffic.
