Tesla, Inc. (Tesla) is recalling certain 2024 Cybertruck, 2017-2025 Model 3, and 2020-2025 Model Y vehicles. The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light may not remain illuminated between drive cycles, failing to warn the driver of low tire pressure. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."

Potential Consequences:
We were driving on the freeway yesterday September 3rd at 9:30pm and my passenger side door swung open while on the entrance ramp to highway 24. My infant was sitting in that passenger side in her carseat and thankfully she wasnt injured. A car could have collided with that door or it could have hit anything outside resulting in extreme damage, injury, or death. Upon inspection of the door latch, the door latch is almost completely unhinged. The screw cam off, and the latch simply swivels and does not lock the door or hold it in place. We had to drive home with our hand physically holding the door closed. My driver side door also seems to not be fully latching - though it is not in as bad condition. But upon driving it, you can feel an airgap with the sound at higher speeds which suggests to me that this door latch is also at extreme risk of failure. These two doors are the only ones commonly used by us. But given they are both seemingly failing, my guess is that all four door latches are defective and at immediate risk of causing harm, injury, or death to those Cybertrucks on the road with the same latch.

Received a “critical error” message on the screen and was advised to pull over. After doing so and putting the vehicle in “park” I was unable to take the vehicle out of park or move it at all. This would have been very dangerous if it occurred in an unsafe neighborhood or busy highway. Couldn’t even take it out of park for the tow truck driver to get it onto the flatbed so he had to use “skates” to pull it onto the truck. There were many different error messages appearing on the screen related to different systems in the car so I suspect some sort of electrical defect caused multiple systems to fail simultaneously. I uploaded a couple of pics of some of the messages below.

Large driver's touchscreen in the Cybertruck gets really, really hot. Brought it to Tesla for a service today (August 5th, 2024) and they said the screen is working as expected. They showed me another vehicle and it also had the 110 to 125 degree screen. This can burn skin if you're older and lacking nerves or a child (which Tesla encourages to use the screen with their video games). As this is a design defect and not a one-off part issue, I'd personally like to see this recalled. There are other people complaining about the same issue on this very new vehicle -- [XXX] Worth noting that this high temperature is produced in the lower center area of the screen. Tesla Service says it's due to the computer processor being located in that area with no way for the heat to dissipate (ie, a TV would have room behind it to dissipate the heat, but the Cybertruck has that area blocked). Driving at Approximately 70miles an hour on a divided highway and the top right plastic trim between the back window and the steel side came loose and flew off into traffic behind me creating a road hazard for other motorists. I drove back and picked up the shattered pieces off the highway, no incident was filed with the authorities since there was no accident. I’ve scheduled a service appointment to replace the trim.

Contacted Tesla on June 25th for their June 19th recall (24V-456 and 24V-457) and they responded that my truck isn't (yet) on their list of recalled cars even though it's been 6 days since the voluntary recall happened. As Tesla has been the one to initiate the recall, I would have assumed my truck would instantly in the list. Appointments are booked out weeks in advance, and Tesla won't allow me to create an appointment now.

I purchased 2024 Tesla cybertruck and got the delivery of the truck on May 11th 2024. One the very first day I experienced a critical warning that stated " Critical Steering issue detected" and it started beeping loudly and I was unable to steer it. Now I am unable to drive the car as I have a whole lust of critical alerts that pop up on the screen. I am concerned about my safety and others on the road. One of the warning says "loss of system redundancy detected. Unable to shift out of park because vehicle has detected loss of redundancy. The vehicle may suddenly lose electrical power, steering and propulsion, and maybe unable to apply the parking break." I tried contacting Tesla emergency roadside support and they just keep me on hold and I am unable to reach a real person. I tried scheduling a service appointment but these warnings are critical and is a potential safety concern.

Potential Consequences:
MoThe air suspension is stuck saying it cannot adjust. The car states that there is an electrical issue. As an electric car electrical issues seems to be a concerning error message to receive. The service center has stated a part was replaced two times but the error message remains. The error is in reference to exhausting from the valve block. This removes the ability to utilize any of the adjustments and potential water wade mode. The service center said a redesign is in the works, but no such redesign is in the works.

MoThe air suspension is stuck saying it cannot adjust. The car states that there is an electrical issue. As an electric car electrical issues seems to be a concerning error message to receive. The service center has stated a part was replaced two times but the error message remains. The error is in reference to exhausting from the valve block. Then I got a loss of system redundancy detected. This has happened twice in one week and I’ve towed it to Tesla twice.
