Ford Motor Company
NHTSA Campaign: 25V337000 SAFETY RECALL
30.7K Vehicles Affected
Recall Date: May 23, 2025
Safety Issue:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024 Nautilus vehicles. The multimedia module software may cause the panoramic and center displays to reboot, resulting in a blank screen. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 111, "Rear Visibility," and 102, "Transmission shift lever sequence, starter interlock, and transmission braking effect," as well as FMVSS numbers 126, 108, 135, 138, 208, 101, and 305.

Potential Risk:
A blank instrument display can result in a loss of critical safety information, such as the speedometer and warning lights, increasing the risk of a crash. In addition, a missing rearview camera display image can reduce visibility of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
The multimedia module system software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 24, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C21.
Action Required: Contact your local LINCOLN dealer to schedule your FREE recall repair.

NHTSA Campaign: 25V343000 SAFETY RECALL
6.8K Vehicles Affected
Recall Date: May 23, 2025
Safety Issue:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024-2025 Lincoln Nautilus, 2023-2025 Escape, 2023 Lincoln Corsair, 2025 Lincoln Corsair, Maverick, and Bronco Sport vehicles equipped with a 1.5L or 2.0L MPC engine and an engine block heater. The engine block heater may overheat when the vehicle is parked with the block heater plugged in.

Potential Risk:
An overheated engine block heater can increase the risk of a fire.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the block heater element and inspect the electrical cord, replacing it if necessary, free of charge. Owners will also have a alternative option to replace engine block heater element with a threaded blanking plug coupled, and remove the block heater electrical cord. Owner notification letters were mailed July 3, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S52.

Recall Date: Apr 11, 2025
Safety Issue:

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2024 Ranger and 2024 Lincoln Nautilus vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall number 24V-597. When closing the windows with the global closing feature, the windows may not automatically reverse after detecting an object. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 118, "Power-Operated Window Systems."

Potential Risk:
A closing window may exert excessive force and pinch a driver or passenger before retracting, increasing the risk of injury.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will update the driver door module (DDM) and the passenger door module (PDM) software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 15, 2025. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25C10.

Defect Description:

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Potential Consequences:

More than once while driving, the 48inch dashboard screen and the center touch screen, and power steering and the majority of electrical components would cease to work at all once and without warning. Essentially, the car goes "dark" like a computer that had its power cord pulled from the wall. Twice I had to come to a stop, with minimal ability to steer (no power). Eventually, after about 60 to 90 seconds, the screens rebooted slowly and regular functionality was restored after about another 60 to 90 seconds. This is not the same screen sequence as when you enter your car. Service at the dealership told me there are "various software issues with this new technology, as well as suspension, battery and severe electrical issues, many of which are posted recalls, and others are recalls pending or they have paused fixing until they can deliver new fixes, since previous fixes failed". I took my 24 Nautilus (ICE not hybrid) in for recalls on the suspension and it "going dark" while driving. I was told, and my service records include notes from the tech that also state this, that other customers are experiencing the same issues, and to expect more recalls. “This vehicle has been a nightmare”. Approximately 2 months later I was while driving down a highway exit ramp approaching a crossing city road, the vehicle again "went black". No lights or screen presence or indicators could be seen – no speedometer, no steering, no safety features such as emergency brake assist or lane assist activated. Zero control of the car. I recall screaming "I have no control! OMG!" My car hit a curb, then guard rail, then flipped and rolled, totaled the car. The driver and passenger front airbags did not deploy, the curtain bags did. I suffered minor injuries but luckily no major ones. I got the car because of all the safety features for my wife and kids. But I'll never buy another after seeing the car lose all power and control three times, the third flipping and rolling uncontrolled.

POWER TRAIN

Potential Consequences:

On the way home from the dealer the vehicle powered down on its own and then shut off in the middle of the road. Luckily we were able to coast into the median without incident. The vehicle started back up and we garaged it until the dealer came the next day to retrieve it. The vehicle remains at the dealer with this unresolved issue, now going on ten days. They do not appear to know what caused the problem, but vehicles shutting down in the middle of the street ( or worse yet, an expressway filled with rush hour traffic) create an obvious dangerous situation. Please also note that I have been advised that we are not the only people experiencing the same problem with this vehicle. If that is the case, I cannot fathom why we were allowed to put this vehicle on the road. Someone is going to get hurt or worse if this problem continues unabated.
