Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2016 Dodge Journey, Jeep Compass, and Jeep Patriot vehicles manufactured May 9, 2016, to July 15, 2016. The crankshaft or camshaft sensor may only work intermittently, causing the engine to stall.

TURNING A CORNER, IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC WITH STOP-AND-GO SPEEDS), BUT DOES DO IT AT HIGHER SPEEDS (EX. 60 MPH TO 70 MPH). IT DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE ISSUES WHEN DOWN SHIFTING. DRIVERS SEAT BELT WILL BE BUCKLED AND COME UNBUCKLED HAVE TO REBUCKLE INTERMITTENTLY. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK WHEN SHE STARTED TO HEAR NOISE COMING FROM MY TRUCK SO SHE PULLED OVER, CALL ME AND THEN I CAME UP TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE TRUCK NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON OR NO OVER HEATING AND ONLY THING WAS LOUD NOISE SO I DECIDED TO TRY TO DRIVE THE TRUCK HOME , THEN ON THE WAY DRIVING IN TEN MILE ROAD IN WARREN THE TRUCK WAS GETTING LOUDER SO THEN I DROVE IT TO MY DAUGHTER FATHER HOUSE THAT WAS NEAR BY . WHEN I TURN DOWN RYAN ROAD THE TRUCK STULLED OUT DURING THE MAKING OF THE TURN BUT I WAS ABLE TO PULL INTO THE TIM HORTON, TRY TO RESTART MY TRUCK TO MAKE IT TO HER FATHER HOUSE THE NEXT DAY I HAD TOW TRUCK TOW MY TRUCK TO LOUIS AUTO REPAIR SHOP BUT THEY DIDN'T ABLE TO LOOK AT MY TRUCK UNTIL MONDAY AND THEY CALL ME TO LET ME KNOW I NEED NEW ENGINE. I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY I NEED NEW ENGINE WHEN MY LIGHT NEVER CAME ON AND MY TRUCK IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD.
