Safety Issue:
General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Cadillac CT6, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Volt, and GMC Yukon XL vehicles. Certain second-row or third-row rear seatbelts retractor assemblies may not automatically lock when the seatbelt is fully pulled out of the retractor, possibly preventing a child seat from being properly secured. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."

2018 GMC Yukon Condenser cracked and leaked refrigerant to the environment. 17336 Air Conditioning Condenser (Combi-Cooler) Refrigerant Leak covers up to 2017 models. My 2018 Yukon produced in December of 2017 and experience same issue. $1800 repair at dealership.

SUSPENSION
Potential Consequences:
Both struts went out on the car at once. When we went to the dealer, we were told that there were no struts in the country, and they have no idea when they will be available. When we called back this week to check on the progress, there is no progress at all. We have had to rent a vehicle, which we did for a month's time not knowing how long this may go on.

FIRST TIME WAS IN REVERSE IN OUR DRIVE WAY. THEN PULLING INTO PARKING LOT, BRAKES WERE HARD TO PUSH WITH PULSING PEDAL AND WARNING MESSAGE ON DASH, CHECK BRAKE ASSIST. WE GOT VEHICLE STOPPED, HARD BRAKE PEDAL, WITHOUT HITTING ANYONE. THIS HAPPENED SIX TIMES ON 03-05-2020. THIS OCCURS AT SLOW SPEED IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC OR IN A PARKING LOT, NOT A GOOD FEELING. IT FEEL LIKE THE VACUUM PUMP CAN NOT SUPPLY ENOUGH VACUUM TO OPERATE BRAKE BOOSTER. WE HAVE ONLY OWNED VEHICLE FOR ABOUT THREE WEEKS. THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE IN THIS CONDITION.

I HAVE OWNED THE VEHICLE FOR 15 MONTHS - IN THAT TIME WE HAVE HAD FOUR FLAT TIRES (TWO BLOW OUTS), A BROKEN RIM, AND A BROKEN BALL JOINT. ALL OF THESE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING UNDER NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS ON PAVED ROADS AND NOT AS PART OF ANY ACCIDENT OR A COLLISION WITH AN OBJECT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 GMC YUKON XL. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 20 MPH, ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF HER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE ROLLED INTO A DITCH. THE CONTACT'S SON WAS SEATED IN THE THIRD ROW SEATS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IN A CAR SEAT. THE SEAT BELT THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO RESTRAIN THE CAR SEAT DID NOT REMAIN STEADY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD AND STEERING WHEEL AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY; HOWEVER, THE CONSOLE, SIDE CURTAIN AND REAR AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INTERNAL BLEEDING, LACERATIONS, AND LIVER INJURIES. HER DAUGHTER WAS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND SUSTAINED A FRACTURED NOSE AND FACIAL MARKS FROM THE AIR BAG. THE CONTACT'S SON WAS SEATED IN THE CAR SEAT AND SUSTAINED LACERATIONS ON HIS FOREHEAD. EVERYONE WAS TRANSPORTED VIA AMBULANCE TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 18V673000 (SEAT BELTS). THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 26,755.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INTERNAL BLEEDING, LACERATIONS, AND LIVER INJURIES. HER DAUGHTER WAS SEATED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT AND SUSTAINED A FRACTURED NOSE AND FACIAL MARKS FROM THE AIR BAG. THE CONTACT'S SON WAS SEATED IN THE CAR SEAT AND SUSTAINED LACERATIONS ON HIS FOREHEAD. EVERYONE WAS TRANSPORTED VIA AMBULANCE TO SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED.
