Safety Issue:
General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2013-2019 Chevrolet Express Cutaway and GMC Savana Cutaway vehicles equipped with optional GM-provided body mounts (RPO BNC). The brake line may have insufficient clearance to the body mounts, which can result in brake line damage that can lead to a brake fluid leak.

SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
This recall (N242466950 - Potential Brake Line Leak) was issued on September 19, 2024, for my 2019 GMC Savana (VIN: [XXX] ). After 4 months, no remedy or parts are available, leaving the vehicle undrivable. It is unsafe and cannot be transported/exported to Canada due to unresolved recalls. This delay is causing financial hardship and safety concerns. I kindly request NHTSA’s assistance in expediting the resolution of this safety-critical recall. I am a Canadian resident currently traveling and have used a temporary U.S. location (Bellingham, WA) to complete the form as the vehicle is currently located in the U.S. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
