Safety Issue:

Alliance RV, LLC is recalling certain 2021-2023 Paradigm and Valor fifth wheel trailers. A wire connector from the solar panel ports to the solar charge lines may loosen.

Potential Risk:
A loose solar panel electrical connection could overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the existing wire nut with a new connector, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 15, 2023. Owners may contact Alliance customer service at 1-574-218-7165.

Defect Description:

Potential Consequences:

Solar panel fuse melted and caused significant electrical issues, caused the inverter to back flow and caused further damage to the inverter which wiring caught fire. See photo. Bought the RV used in 11/2023 from a used RV dealership. Dealership assured us RV passed inspection and no recalls found. A week later we started having electrical issues and loss of power randomly. RV had repair attempt at dealership on 12/2023. RV repaired and a month later problems with power loss started again, RV mechanic came out and made attempts at repairs x3. In 6/2024, loss of power issue became daily and called RV mechanic back out in which he found the burned fuses and wires. Other hot wires found and repaired by RV mechanic. Reported issues back to dealership we bought RV from with no assistance, contacted Alliance RV with no assistance as of yet, contacted remove who made the inverter with no assistance.
