2020 Nissan Titan Engine Harness Electrical Short
Certain 2020 Nissan Titan and Titan XD trucks may have been manufactured with an engine harness that was assembled incorrectly at the supplier.
According to the defect report, the misassembled harness may have an exposed wire that could short against the shield of the transmission power wire.
*The short could affect the fuel pump power supply, causing an engine stall without the ability to restart.
*The vehicle could experience abnormal engine and transmission performance.
*If the short results in arching, the problem could result in an engine fire.
Owners who receive recall notices will be asked to return to their dealerships to have the engine harness inspected and replaced, as necessary. The NHTSA campaign number for this recall is 20V-759. The recall is expected to begin January.
