A small number of 2015-2017 Nissan Juke owners will be contacted by the manufacturer regarding a problem affecting their vehicles braking system. According to the defect report, the brake master cylinder may have been manufactured out of specification. The cup seal inside the master cylinder housing could twist and not seat properly and the brake fluid could rapidly leak from the master cylinder into the brake booster. When this happens, the brake system warning indicator lamp will illuminate and braking will decrease.

Dealers will correct the problem by replacing the brake master cylinder. Owners wanting more information about the defect are asked to contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-647-7261.
