2018 Indian Motorcycle Electrical Problem

The Indian Motorcycle Company will be contacting the owners of certain 2018 111ci motorcycles regarding a problem affecting the electrical system.

According to the defect report, some bikes may have been manufactured with a right hand switch cube that does not meet quality standards. Electrical parts within the switch could develop corrosion over time, increasing the risk of damage to other electrical components or the motorcycle may electrically power-up and start without user input when the FOB is near.

The motorcycles affected by this recall include:

Roadmaster Elite
Roadmaster Icon

Springfield Dark Horse

Those receiving notices will be asked to return to their dealers to have the right hand combination switch replaced.
