Potential Consequences:

The bracket which attaches the awning to the roof of the RV Is separating from the roof. The mounting screws are pulling out of the roof. I intend to bring it to the dealer for repair. There was no warning that this situation was occurring. I was inspecting the awning due to a different awning recall issue and found this condition. If it had gone undetected, it would have eventually separated from the roof and could have caused major damage to my vehicle or other vehicles on the highway.

The awning is self deploying. Sent in for a recall and still an issue. With phone calls to the supplier of the Awning (Carefree Awnings of Colorado) their customer service is suggesting a on off switch. Potential Consequences:

The "basement" storage compartment doors keep popping open. The RV has sic such compartments. I Drove from Maryland (the state of my residence) to Forest City to Iowa to address one of the doors (Propane compartment). The manufacturer fixed that issue free of charge. A few days later (today) while driving, the door to the compartment behind the Propane one popped open. By the time I realized it I had hit a couple of traffic cones. This was on I-90W in South Dakota west of Spearfish where there is construction work and cones are used to divide the two lane highway. When I got out of the vehicle to try to close it, I noticed that the latches do not engage property. Now there is also a dent at the corner of the compartment door and the paint is damaged.
