Potential Consequences:
The contact owns a 2022 Winnebago Era built on a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis. The contact stated that after the RV was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V694000 (Structure, Equipment) there was 0% battery voltage indicated on the battery after starting the RV. The contact stated that while at a gas station and attempting to start the generator, the generator failed to start. The contact noticed a burning odor entering the cabin of the RV. The contact called the Fire Department to determine if a fire had occurred. The Fire Department stated there was no fire; however, the Fire Department did confirm a chemical burning odor. The contact was unaware of a Fire report being filed. The contact stated that the dealer had not performed the recall repair as stated in the remedy. The RV was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed as a possible relay failure. The contact stated that the relay had been replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was started for the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer stated that the remedy had not repaired the RV and a Technical Service Bulletin might be initiated to correct the failure. The failure mileage was 13,000.
