Safety Issue:

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Omni and Magnitude motorcoaches. The emergency exit window could be blocked while outside griddle is in use.

Potential Risk:
A blocked emergency exit window can delay occupants exiting the vehicle during an emergency, increasing the risk of injury.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the emergency exit window, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 5, 2024. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-500-1020.

Safety Issue:

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2023 Magnitude and Omni vehicles. The Occupant and Cargo Carrying Capacity (OCCC) Label states the incorrect number of seat belts, indicating that there are more seat belts available than there actually are. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other Than Passenger Cars."

Potential Risk:
The incorrect seat belt information may result in occupants being transported without available seat belts, increasing their risk of injury.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will replace the label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 10, 2022. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000281.

Defect Description:

STRUCTURE:BODY

Potential Consequences:

While driving on on Interstate 80 near exit 70 in Illinois the battery box containing 4 coach batteries dropped from under the vehicle onto the highway. We were able to pull off the interstate on the offramp at exit 70. It appears the small bracket was underrated for the structural loads or improperly welded by the OEM. In addition the Positive battery wire was chaffing on the step framework.

Corrective Action:

While driving on on Interstate 80 near exit 70 in Illinois the battery box containing 4 coach batteries dropped from under the vehicle onto the highway. We were able to pull off the interstate on the offramp at exit 70. It appears the small bracket was underrated for the structural loads or improperly welded by the OEM.
