tire pressure monitoring system & firestone transforce ht 275/70r18 tires i have had numerous problems with my tire pressure monitoring system and tires. my testing is finding a tire pressure variance of up to 15 psi between hot and cold pressures. originally my truck would give me a tpm warning message with 3 psi variance. now it has been reprogrammed by chrysler so it requires a 15 psi variance. this concerns me as such a pressure variance places my rear tires at 94 psi. i am very concerned that these tires will break down and we will see a repeat of the 1980's firestone tire problems.

there is about a 1 full second delay from the moment you press the accelerator and the moment the truck accelerates. i have read it is just something you get used to and i have tried. i realized how dangerous it really is while visiting my in-laws last month. the street leaving their community exits on to a 45 mph road where the intersection is on a blind curb and overgrown. several times during my visit i would press the accelerator and during the full second delay, a car would come into my line of sight. i would immediately have to go into evasive maneuvers to avoid a collision. while overgrown blind intersections aren't the norm, they do exit and the delay in acceleration endangers occupants in my vehicle as well as other drivers.
