Defect Description:
POWER TRAIN
Potential Consequences:
The contact owns a 2022 Polaris Slingshot. The contact stated that while his wife was driving approximately 45 MPH on a two-lane road, the brake pedal was depressed while making a left turn, and the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle independently shifted to neutral and became inoperable. The contact stated that the vehicle revved; however, the vehicle failed to shift into gear. The driver drifted over to the side of the roadway. The driver was able to restart the vehicle, and the vehicle operated as intended; however, the failure recurred while depressing the brake pedal. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and confirmed that there were no open recalls on the VIN. The contact stated that the brake master switch on the brake master cylinder caused the cruise control to be deactivated. The failure mileage was approximately 3,200.

Polaris must have decided for profit reasons to eliminate the rear fender that covers the tire and I unknowingly was shooting gravel-like bullets at everybody behind me and hitting people causing dangerous incidents. I apologized but I was told not to enter these events as I also could be breaking car windshields as well as endangering all the bikers in the event. Polaris needs to recall all their Slingshots without fenders before tragedy strikes and takes out somebodies eye or causes a wreck and kills somebody. Please address this asap as it's an extremely serious problem.
