Recall Date: Jul 3, 2023

Polaris Industries Inc. (Polaris) is recalling certain 2020 Slingshot GT, 2021-2023 Slingshot S, Slingshot S Tech, 2020-2023 Slingshot R, Slingshot SL, and 2022-2023 Slingshot SLR vehicles updated with Ride Command Software. Defect Description:

SERVICE BRAKES

Potential Consequences:

The vehicle had approximately 300 miles after purchasing new. A master chassis fault/check engine light was illuminated. I was on my way to the dealership when suddenly a number of lights lit up on the dashboard and the vehicle decelerated on its own and went to no acceleration mode. I managed to get to the side of the freeway and drove to the dealer a severely limited speed (15mph). Subsequent to the dealer fixing the problem which I was told was a defective break sensor switch the vehicle has been in the shop 5 separate times for fault lights coming on. At this point I am concerned about the safety of the vehicle or if I should even drive it any longer.
