Defect Description:

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Potential Consequences:

Adaptive cruise control / Active Brake assist stops working, which turns off cruise control with no warning. This is like letting off the accelerator abruptly, and at Freeway speeds, is dangerous. The sensor has been inspected and adjusted by a Mercedes dealer, only to have it fail shortly after. There seems to be no reason for this intermitt failure. I believe this issue to be dangerous, and deserves a safety recall to be issued.
