Safety Issue:

Pierce Manufacturing (Pierce) is recalling certain 2016-2022 Ascendant 107' Aerials and 110' Platforms mounted on single rear axle Enforcer chassis. The galvanized stabilizer beams may develop cracks.

Potential Risk:
Cracks can cause instability when an aerial ladder or platform is elevated, increasing the risk of injury.
FREE Recall Solution:
Dealers will inspect and replace the galvanized stabilizer beams as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 14, 2023. Owners may contact Pierce customer service at 1-888-974-3723.

Defect Description:

STRUCTURE

Potential Consequences:

The contact owns a 2021 Pierce Manufacturing Aerial. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the contact discovered that several bolts on the vehicle's chassis were loose and detached. The failure occurred on several different occasions. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle remained at the residence however, an independent mechanic diagnosed that the bolts needed to be screwed once again. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
