PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2021-2025 Peterbilt and Kenworth vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop functioning.

The right-hand gear shifter stalk connectors may have been improperly crimped, resulting in a loss of communication.

The axles may have lower rear pivot bolts that are not long enough to sufficiently engage the locking feature of the corresponding nuts.

The contact owns a 2021 Renegade Classic 37CTS RV constructed on a 2021 Peterbilt 567 chassis. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds on three separate occasions the rear tires had experienced a blowout. After having the RV weighed it was discovered that the vehicle weighed 22,880 pounds although the label on the RV indicated that the maximum weight capacity of the axle was 23,000 pounds. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 14,000.
