Defect Description:
Chest Clip, Buckle, Harness
Potential Consequences:
The MAIN buckle that keeps the kid secure and locked into place is faulty and can easily be manipulated and loosened by my 4 year old child moving her chest front. YES. you can come inspect it anytime. I have plenty of videos as well. My child was put at risk of death or other seriously bodily harm. The only person inspected was via a video I sent the company who made the product for them to tell me there is nothing they can do about it or unless I want to wait 60-90 days and pay a fee of $320 to get a replacement handle of some sort.

Defect Description:
Chest Clip, Buckle, Harness
Potential Consequences:
After 8 months of use, the harness release button failed completely. This malfunction allowed the harness to loosen with our child in the car seat, while driving on a 3.5 hour road trip. Extremely scary and dangerous situation. NUNA sent a replacement frame and within 2 months the same malfunction has occurred on the replacement frame. After seeing the numerous complaints filed on NHTSA, for the same issues, I am very surprised there has not been an investigation and/or recall. Especially given the prevalence of such a dangerous malfunction. Lastly, I am extremely unimpressed with NUNA costumer service.

Defect Description:
Chest Clip, Buckle, Harness
Potential Consequences:
Complete failure of harness release button, allowing my child to loosen the harness by gently leaning forward. This is a malfunction on a replacement frame (used for less than 2 months), NUNA replaced the original frame (used for 8 months) for the same issue. I have contacted NUNA about current frame issue, haver not heard back from them. Given the poor customer service I received with original frame failure, I do not expect NUNA to resolve this issue for several weeks. Consequently, I am working with retailer I purchased the car seat from to replace it with a different brand, as I no longer trust NUNA with the safety of my child.

Defect Description:
Chest Clip, Buckle, Harness
Potential Consequences:
After just 2 months of use, the harness no longer stays tight. The straps can be easily loosened without pressing the Harness Release Button. It is impossible to secure my 13 month old in the seat. After tightening the harness on my daughter, I always pull on it to ensure a snug fit. Today when I pulled on it, it just loosened easily. The harness release button seems to have malfunctioned. If I hadn’t realized this and was in an accident, my daughter could have flow out of the car seat. I ceased using the car seat and contacted the manufacturer but have not heard back yet.
