tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan sentra. the contact stated that while traveling 35 mph, the vehicle suddenly stalled without warning. the contact was able to merge to the side of the road to restart the vehicle. the vehicle then began to function normally. the vehicle was able to be driven to the dealer where the failure could not be replicated. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not contacted about the failure. the failure mileage was 419 and the current mileage was unavailable.

AIR BAGS

passenger airbag off light staying on regardless of whether or not there is a person over 100lbs in the passenger seat. air bag indicator light staying on the dashboard, while it is supposed to turn off after 7 seconds. i took the car into the dealership on tuesday 2/26/13.. they said it is a faulty censor and that the passenger seat cushion needs to be replaced, however the parts are on backorder with no definite time line.

POWER TRAIN

i was waiting at a red light to make a left turn. once the light turned green and i stepped on the accelerator, the car started to jerk and lost power. it did not turn completely off but it would not drive. i had to put my hazard lights on to avoid being rear ended by the vehicle directly behind me that was also making a left turn. i owned the car for less than 24 hours at that point. it only had 152 miles on the odometer. the dealership sent a tow. the diagnosis was that the software needed to be updated. i don't understand how nissan can sell a car that isn't properly programmed? why wasn't the programming checked prior to me driving it off the lot? i will drive it for a few days to see if it happens again.

took off from a stop sign and my car stalled. i turned the car off and on again and it ran fine. this isn't the first time this has happened to me, but the others were when it was pretty cold outside and i deemed that the reason for the stall. now i believe it has to be something more.

the passengers seat air bag sensor does not recognize when there is someone sitting and will not activate. i took the car to service and the guy told me that maybe it was because i was too skinny and maybe the sensor did not recognize that there was someone is actually sitting in the passengers seat. it is very dangerous because in a car accident it will probably not work. the car also have an annoying noise each time i hit the breaks in the back right side of the car. it have been 3 months and 3 service visits and several calls to service, distributors, etc. and i have not received an answer on how or when they will fix the problem. they told me to keep using the car because it was not a safety issue, but the brakes have gone blank twice making me very nervous of using the car. still no answer from nissan.

i purchase this as a brand new vehicle last month from a nissan dealer. today morning when i left home at 5:40am the temperature was around 25f and when i switched on the car and pulled it to the drive mode suddenly the engine stopped by itself. i then pulled it back in the parking gear and reigned the engine and left home. i reached outside my house stopped to take a left turn and the car stopped again! i feel scared driving this car now on freeway as i feel it may stop anytime and i might get into a big crash. there is a recall letter i received on this car yesterday and it said the first problem i stated above when the car is moved from p to d sometimes it stops but not that it would ever stop while in motion which is very very scary. i hope you will be able to help me and any other owners of this car. thanks.

i was traveling on the interstate on 4/6 headed to sc at 5 am when the car started to decelerate by itself. with the gas pedal to the floor the car would not go past 45. then suddenly it will take off. the car does this at random and it cannot be detected on the computer according to nissan. friday night the car did the same thing. this time was worst and i was in traffic with people behind me. as i started to pull off from the light the car would not go past 25. i immediately put the flashers on prayed that i did not get hit from behind. i am afraid to drive the car and i am currently paying for a rental because nissan lithia springs refused to give me a rental or loaner. i am very distressed about this car. nissan lithia springs said they would trade me out the car but wanted to treat it as a trade. why would i pay for two cars when my sentra is obviously a lemon. i am otally frustrated i have a brand new car that i cannot drive and know one seems to care. the car was purchased on 3/18. went to service 4/8 picked up 4/9 they said that it was a idle program. returned to service 4/11 and was picked up 4/24. i took the car back on 4/26 and it is still there. i have tried contacting nissan consumer affairs and they don't return phone calls or emails.

while applying the brake pedal decelerating the car, the car suddenly had a very loud grinding noise on the rear passenger wheel, like the brake rotor grinding against some metal parts that broke loose inside. after stopping the car inspecting passenger rear wheel and found nothing, i got back to the car slowly accelerating it. the loud grinding noise got worse and i felt the brake pedal kinda light (like not all 4 brakes are being applied). i suspect the brake shoes or components broke apart inside the brake drum of the rear wheel (passenger side). fortunately, i was at slow speed (20-30mph) and only one block away from home. will have it towed to the local nissan dealer to have it checked out as i only had this car for about 7-8 month from brand new. since this is an all-new design 2013 sentra, i am concern this is a flaw on the brake design that could cause extreme dangerous hazards on the road. though my car should be covered under manufacturer 36-month bumper to bumper warranty, i am strongly asking to have the rear brake system on the 2013 nissan sentra investigated and recalled / corrected if necessary. this would help not only protect my family, my investment, but also others from running into the same incident operating this particular model in the future.

my 2013 nissan sentra with 142 miles already has problem with the service brakes. i was completely stopped at a traffic light. while waiting for the light to change i noticed that my car started to move forward. my first reaction was to press a little bit harder on the brake pedal, the car stopped, but a few seconds later the car started to move again. i kept pressing on the brake pedal a little bit harder every time it started to move, until the pedal reached the maximum travel, all the way to the bottom. even with the brake pedal pressed all the way to the bottom, the car kept on moving forward. at that moment i was inching away into the incoming traffic, so i had to pull the parking brake to stop the car from moving forward. this incident was very scary to say the least. now my car is at the dealer in the service department waiting for a new master cylinder. what i cannot understand is how such an important / critical system of a brand new car could fail in 4 days, and less than 150 miles. anyone else experienced anything like this?

tl* the contact owns a 2013 nissan sentra. the contact stated that the rear brakes failed while driving 50 mph. the brake pedal was depressed and the rear brake system activated but failed to disengage. the rear brake made also exhibited a loud metal noise. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where an inspection was performed. the dealer advised that the rear brake band was defective and caused the rear brake system not to release. the dealer cleaned and greased the rear brakes however, the failure was not corrected. the rear brakes still would not disengage when activated. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 2,000 and the current mileage was 11,518.

when i am stopped at a light, the car seems to creep forward when brake pedal depressed. i need to continually apply more pressure and the pedal becomes spongy. also, i now notice that when stopped or going slow, engine fumes are coming from my air/heating vents. don't know if its exhaust or an oil leak somewhere. car only has 400 miles on it and i've had car since end of february 2013.

2013 nissan sentra only 5 months old with 7000 feel like a 20 year old car. every time i hit the brake to slow down, i hear squeaking noise and feel like the pads are grinding, i will have to take it to the dealer to have it checked out. oh and you can't lift you wiper blades because the hood is in the way. how the heck are you suppose to clean you windshield or replace wiper blades. a/c goes on when you change to defrost or recirculation and you have to manually disengage when changing modes. should have went with the corolla.

this is a follow up on the safety complaint i previously filed on 6/2/2013, when my sentra 2013 suddenly had big grinding noise on the passenger rear wheel when i applied the brake pedal decelerating the car. after having the car towed to the local dealer, the dealer diagnostic and confirmed the rear brake broke apart inside the rear brake drum damaged brake shoe, brake self-adjusted assembly, anti-shoe rattle clip and pin. though nissan covered the repair, replacement parts, and towing cost, it still cost me one day off work and the car had to sit at the dealer couple days waiting for the replacement parts. i then looked up the internet and found the sentra 2013 rear brake part diagram (see link below). what really scare me is the new 'u' shape anti-shoe rattle springs / clips (instead of the traditional circle / washer shape ones typically found on most vehicles) that are used to lock the brake shoes in place with the anti-shoe rattle pins. these u-shape anti-rattle shoe springs might come off if the car running on bad roads often or big bumps over the time. i am really concerned about the safety on sentra 2013 rear brake and hoping someone could investigate to prevent future safety issues. ----- http://www.enissanparts.com/nissanparts/index.cfm?bodycolor=&trimcolor=&body=4s&engine=mra8de&area=cal&grade=s&trans=cvt&action=replacement&groupid=h§ionid=441&partcode=&jointvehid=17659&makeid=25&siteid=216803&illust_seq=01&partnumber=part+number&description=keyword.

i have also been experiencing the loud grinding noise from the rear brakes. i took the car in today for its first oil change and showed the technician the issue. i also have a problem with the a/c not cooling. there have been a couple of times while driving when the a/c starts to blow warm air for a long time and then randomly starts to cool again. hopefully the dealership can get it fixed without causing any additional grief! the car has been driven less than 5,000 miles!

vehicle owner notice that large abnormal cracking noise from passenger side rear right drum brake. brought to nissan dealer and they repair according to service bulletin reference no.:ntb13-031 issued on march 27,2013 classification br-13-002 however recurred on 6/26/13 same large abnormal cracking noise from read passenger side drum brakecorrective action: applied a small amount of brake fluid to the bore of the rear brake wheel cylinders. however recurred on 6/26/13 same large abnormal cracking noise from read passenger side drum brake and brought in nissan dealer on 6/29/13. vehicle still at dealer as of 7/1/13.

rear driver side brake as i am driving and apply brakes you can hear like a horrible sound like grinding noise you also can hear it if the car is at park and you go up and down on brake pedal i was at teddy's nissan dealer for first oil change told advisor he tells me to bring it back on monday morning that they only do oil changes on saturdays so i will be going monday morning so they can repair the problem will get back and let all knows how the do.

funny, i have had my 2013 sentra to falhaber nissan 6 times for this same brake issue, air bag (there was a recall on it), and the a-pillar on the driver side keeps coming loose. to date i still have the grinding noise and brake issue along with the a-pillar coming loose which the air bag is located behind. i have been told it was in my trunk, my license plate vibrating and even stated to me they don't know what the problem is. i bought a brand new car, why lie to me? fix the problem or return my money is how i feel. my safety and others with me is too important. i have also experienced the decrease in acceleration thankfully, not while in traffic. i thought that was the cvt transmission. ben from falhaber stated to me a couple times along with others from nissan consumer affairs that no one else has reported this. again, another lie after reading all these posts. i have filed for the lemon law refund.

driving as usual and applied the brakes approaching a red light and heard a loud grinding noise. it's a brand new car and had approximately 1,000 miles at that point in time. i had it looked at by the dealer and he has parts on order and i will return to have it fixed. i hope this is the end of this issue. however, i am greatly disappointed and stressed out by this event. i bought a nissan based upon their reputation and recommendations from friends. i think this is my first, last and only nissan ever. i had a 12 year old toyota camry that was more reliable than this. i hope an investigation into the brake issue is undertaken and quickly since it could turn into a dangerous and unfortunate situation for many.

update on what herb gordon nissan found on the brake issue - the first time they were instructed to lube the brake cylinders as per a service bulletin. the noise was gone for a few days but started to occur again. the second time they changed the brake cylinders all together which has seemed to fix the grinding/crackling noise. the ac stopped working and was blowing hot air - they had to replace the entire ac compressor. so many issues in less than 5000 miles of driving.

i was driving back from el cajon, ca on the 52 when i was going down the hill i was hearing this loud grinding crackling noise from the rear brakes. the noise still to this day is getting louder and louder. i took my car to the nissan services to check it out. they had a mechanic drive with me to here the noise. when we were driving he said there was no noise. so the service adviser came to me tell me there's nothing they can do if the noise was not confirmed by the mechanic. so i call my boyfriend and tell him to explain the noise we've been hearing. they do another test drive and the mechanic confirms that there's noise in the rear brakes. i asked for a rental car. the adviser just said there's no way nissan's gonna pay for a rental because i feel unsafe. i mentioned to him that i don't feel safe driving the car because i basically go everywhere with my son in my car. he said he will order parts and get in contact with me when they come in.

i purchased the vehicle from buena park nissan at the end of may and in mid-june/ early july i kept hearing a loud grinding noise every time i pressed down on the brake pedal. on july 15th i took the vehicle to the nissan dealership for an oil change and mentioned the noise to the representative. i was told that a part had been ordered and i would be contacted when it arrived. i have still not been contacted by the dealership. recently i experience the car move even though i have the brake petal firmly pressed down.

since 6/15/2013 rear passenger side drum brakes making abnormal noise. finally nissan(hudson nissan) replaced part no. 44100-3sg0a cylinder rear on 7/11/2013. almost one month nissan did not repair and ask me to drive. on 7/24/13 during the driving, brake was extremely loose and press pad all the way to the flower to stop the vehicle @ 4224(mil). nissan called and no abnormality found. no root cause found, no corrective action results re-occurrence and this is not safe to drive.

two days after i bought this 2013 nissan sentra. when sister (120 bl) sit in the passenger seat and the passenger side airbag light was on, after couple minutes the light went off. later on, the light on again. i check the user's manu, it said if the airbag light on which means the airbag is not in working condition, if i have a crash, the passenger will not got any airbag protection. i went back to the dealer's service department and the mechanic said it was common, just because the airbag sensor under the "new designed" seat was not so sensitive,and he said my sister is not heavy enough(120 bl) to make the airbag work. the reason that the airbag light on and off was because my sister did not sit properly. but when i ask why this situation never happen in my other cars. he could not say anything. he told me the car was designed like this. he did not do anything and he just sent me home that day. i got a call from their customer service today. they said they knew there was a recall about the passenger airbag issue, but my car was not in that category, even my car have the same problem as the recall issued. what a joke!!! it seems they will not do nothing until someone got injured. it is a safety issue, if i can not get a good solution, this car will be my first and last nissan ever. i feel so disappoint!!! i hope nissan will not be a second ''toyota".

i took my car to the dealership on 4/26/13 upon hearing a rubbing noise in the back when brakes are applied at 20 mph & lower speeds. first time dealership couldn't "heat" or find a problem. brought it back in on 5/10/13 for same problem. shop fireman verified noise. determined it was a rear wheel bearing. brought the car back to the service department on 6/4/13 for same problem . nissan said rear brakes needed more lube. problem continued after. on 9/6/13 took car back to dealership service department for same problems. nissan is now saying rear wheel cylinders should be replaced but that it is not a safety issue. waiting on parts to come in to fix problem.

i got side-swiped on monday, and on wed a second person was in my blind spot while i was trying to merge to the right. i had my signal lights on, i looked several times each time. the only reason why i was able to avoid the 2nd accident was because i heard the person's brakes screech. there is no visibility out the back rear passenger window. the door comes up significantly higher (maybe 4-5 inches) than in the older sentra's. the mirror does not rotate far enough to the right in order to see in to the blind spot. no one riding in my blind spot can see my blinking signal light. overall this car is dangerous to drive. getting hit once and almost a second time was scary. this happened on a very busy highway (495). this car needs to be recalled. the flaws are inherent to the poor design of the vehicle. the door and mirrors are defective. these are design flaws which the consumer can't fix or maybe unaware of during a simple test drive. this car should not be driven on a highway.

i took my car in for the third time about the rear brakes. at first there was a grinding noise. i was told something had gotten loose and that it was fixed. it wasn't, i took back a second time, i was told that they had to put some more lube on it. well that worked for a little bit. now i can't back up without the brakes squeaking like crazy, the grinding is back and now when i turn the wheel you hear a clunking noise. also the brake pads are already worn.... on an 8 month old car! i have emailed nissan about this and waiting for a reply. i am filing a report to the attorney general and nissan. if this is not fixed i plan to use this lemon law. i have all the noise recorded on video and kept all the records of when the car went in. the brakes wearing out this fast is ridiculous on a new car! if the brakes fail, i could get into an accident and then it's my fault. oh and as for the squeaking of the brakes, "it's a case by case issue." which mean it could take at least a month before it is repaired. but the dealership assured me that no other damage will be done.... then why are things getting worse!

notices a creaking noise from passenger side rear brake at slow speed approx 3 weeks ago, intermittent. was driving on friday 11/22 and heard a loud thump, checked car and didn't see anything. driving about 1/2 hour later, head a loud thump and felt the car jerk. stopped, visual check of car tuned up nothing. continued to drive and then right rear brake started to squeak, which turned into a loud grinding noise. got the car to local nissan dealership, and upon inspection said that the rear brakes had failed and needed new drums and pads! 11k miles on drum rear brakes should not result in failure. covered under warranty, but nervous to drive thr car now.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

the windshield washer fluid does not get sprayed onto the windshield. rather, the fluid sprays the base of windshield wiper and traps the liquid between the bottom of the blade and into the wiper well. pinhead sized dots of fluid make it halfway up the windshield offering no fluid for the wipers to use to clean the window. after 4 good pulls, excess washer fluid drained from the wiper well and ran down the side of the car exiting from the driver wheel well. the wipers do not "grab" and carry up onto the windshield the excess fluid as it drains back into the wiper well as the fluid is sprayed at the base of the wipers out of reach of the blade. i have just returned from taking my car to sid dillon nissan in lincoln, nebraska, and was told if they adjusted the sprayer it would spray the inside of the hood and they must leave the nozzles where they are. i should note the nozzles are anchored to the hood and raise up and away from the engine (no fluid lines attached when hood is open) when the hood is raised this is dangerous...i will not be able to clean my windshield (which is the purpose of the fluid sprayer) when encountering post-storm highway sludge, melting and dirty snow are thrown onto the windshield of my car by other vehicles. i do not know if the nozzles are defective and the service department is reluctant to replace them or if this is a design flaw. either way, if the windshield gets dirty while i am driving, i will not be able to see. this is terrifying.

i am concerned about the safety of my vehicle due to the way it was designed. it is impossible to keep the front windshield from fogging up or icing up while driving in inclement weather. the defroster does not allow enough heat to blow on the windshield to keep it clear during driving, causing the driver's visibility to be obstructed and making it a safety hazard. due to the fact there is not enough heated air blowing on the windshield, a large section of the corners (especially the passenger side) becomes coated with fog or ice, obscuring vision. the right windshield wiper even becomes coated with a large chunk of ice on the tip, causing it to stop wiping the right side of the front windshield. on a long trip, the driver has to stop the vehicle to manually clean the wiper and windshield on the right side or continue driving without being able to see clearly. this is not always an option, especially if driving on an interstate where there is no safe place to pull off the road. the vehicle is not designed to be driven in a cold climate (like wintertime in the usa). another safety risk i have run into with this vehicle is the placement of the gas tank release button. in order to reach the button, one has to open the driver door and reach down under the front dashboard to pop the gas tank. this makes the driver vulnerable to anyone on the outside of the vehicle who may want to attack or rob the driver from behind while their door is open and they are bending forward.

i have new nissan sentra 2013 sv with automatic cvt; purchased the car in september 2013 . my sentra just started making a intermittent loud whinning noise under the hood. i took the car the nissan dealership where i purchased the car. the mechanic said the loud whinning noise was from the electronic steering and it was normal. how can this be normal noise from a electronic steering? i never heard the load whinning noise until 22 march 2014. noise can be heard inside and outside of car when this problem occurs. the car only has 71 miles on it and is garage kept. i surfed the web and found that some nissan altimas are also experiencing the loud intermittent whinning noise from the electronic steering. i filed a complaint with nissan consumer affairs case id# 14055152 about this problem. i believe that nissan is aware of this intermittent loud whinning noise from the electronic steering and is refusing to anything about it. i hoping that the nhtsa will investigate this problem and force nissan to issue a recall with a permanent fix to the loud whinning noise from the electronic steering.

this vehicle was purchased on 12/31/2013, with 22 miles showing on the odometer. approximately two weeks later, while at a stop light, the car engine cuts off, i was able to put the car into park and restart without further problem. the engine has stopped three other times since then, the others were while idling and driving at approximately 25-30mph.i should have taken it back to the dealer after the first incident, but thought it was a fluke, but after the fourth time, i'm a bit afraid that this will continue to happen and probably cause an accident.how do i begin to resolve this problem with nissan?

since purchase, the light indicating "passenger airbag off" is mostly on even when an adult is correctly sitting in the passenger seat. i called nissan as soon as we bought it and they said it had to go to the dealer for a checkup. the first 3 times we took it in, they told us that nothing was wrong. the fourth time, march 22, 2014, they told us they replaced the defective part. soon after we realized that the problem persisted. we took it in again today and they told us that, again, they were unable to replicate the issue on their computer.

while supposedly "stopped" at a red light, i realized i was rolling forward with the brake depressed. i pressed the brake pedal to the floor and the car stopped. when i accelerated ever so slightly, the car bucked and jolted forward. i slowed to a stopped with barely there brakes, put the car in park and pumped up the brakes, raising the pedal. this seemed to temporarily help, but the pedal went to the floor again the next time attempted to stop. car is at the dealership now. i am awaiting their call.

the windshield spray does not spray cleaning fluid on the windshield. it hits the bottom of the wiper. i have taken it to the selling dealer, nissan of chesapeake. i have ben told that people complain about it all of the time and that it was the number one complaint on this model and it cannot be adjusted. very dangerous if trying to clean salt/road grime from the windshield.

the vehicle was purchased 7/2013 almost immediately began have the passenger's airbag problems. indicate airbag was off while a passenger was in the seat. dealer could not detect a n error code so no repair was made. my vehicle wasn't include in recall campaign 13v06900. the problem continued dealer again could not find any problems or error codes. vehicle was recalled as a result of recall campaign 14v13800. after the software update was completed the problem continued. the problem was video taped by cell phone. dealer has vehicle now . a loaner car of the same year make and model was provide. dealer asked us to recreate the problem. the problem was recreated and video taped. when an adult is sitting in the passengers seat dash light indicates airbag for front seat passenger is off.

passenger airbag sensor does not detect passenger, airbag light would sporadically come on during a trip indicating the passenger airbag has been deactivated. vehicle was taken to nissan dealer for recall work to be performed for the same issue. the same issue arose again within a couple of weeks and i took the car back to nissan to check the problem. the service representative told me that it may be that i or my passenger may not weigh enough for the vehicle to detect us in the seat or it could be the way the passenger sat. i explained to them that when the incident occurs, we confirm passenger is seated properly and our weight was not a problem when we have been seated as passengers in other similarly equipped vehicles i have driven or ridden in. after persisting they do something about this safety issue, they went ahead and told me they replaced a sensor in the seat. a couple of weeks after that i am still having the same problem with the passenger airbag deactivating at random times while the passenger seat is occupied. i have gone back to nissan and they keep telling me they can find nothing wrong every time. i am very concerned as this presents a serious safety risk that may cause the vehicle to malfunction in the event of a collision.

i was turning and drove thru a intersection that is when my car stalled out. i have taken it to the dealer ship and been told that there is nothing wrong with the car. two weeks later the same thing happened and once again took it back into the dealership. i just got it back on friday and what do you know the car keeps acting like it is going to stall out. don't get me wrong the people at the dealership are nice, but after my google search today i am glad (not really glad sad to see this is a problem but i thought i was going to crazy trying to figure out why) to see that others are having the same exact problem so when i go in tomorrow i have several things to talk to nissan about. i just hope that with these issues something is done before someone gets hurt. i shouldn't be scared to take my kids places in my car.

i was traveling on ventura blvd. at a normal speed of traffic when someone abruptly stopped in front of me. this happened in encino, ca. on january 8, 2014. the car literally after applying the brakes, kept going and there was no difference between me applying the brakes or not. i could not believe it! it totalled my car, and the person whom i hit have had neck/back injuries! i am lucky to be alive since the weakest crash test was the front end, driver side!! i was injured too my knee swelled and my hand was swollen. when i addressed this to nissan, there was no response.

i have received nissan recall # 14v-138. i have stopped by to nissan service center at premier nissan, fremont. they have confirmed that ocs software has been successfully reprogrammed to reduce the potential for classifying the seat as empty. but after running the run few more weeks, i have seen the same signal showing in my dashboard. 'pass air bag off' although at that time co-passenger was sitting in the passenger seat. its coming frequently. but not all the time.

POWER TRAIN

purchased the car in november 2013, driving the highway, as we exit the highway, we had to stop for the red light, once the light change to green, hit the green pedal and the car would not move. had to think quickly so i shut car off, then turned it back on, pressed the gas pedal, but there was no get up and go. the car creeped very slowly. was able to make it across the road to the gas station, turned the car off allowed it to set for 15 minutes turned car back on still was driving at less than 20 miles per hour. car was done, there was a hotel the street from the gas station was able to push it over there. knew we had to figure out what to do. called trip a to have the car towed to faulkner nissan on paxton st. in harrisburg pa since it was after 5pm on a saturday, they were closed, and closed all day on sunday. had to get a cab to the harrisburg airport to get a a rental car, no way to get back home or to work. paid 355.00 for a 7 day rental. received a called from faulkner nissan monday after having a service technician check it, he said the transmission died. brand new car, faulkner wants to replace it with a rebuilt transmission, questions is will that one break down on me as well. today is wednesday, july 23rd, 2014, still no word on the status of car

i was operating a 2013 nissan sentra at approximately 45 mph and i placed my foot on brake to slow down to stop at a red light when the brake pedal travelled to the floor. i had the vehicle checked and both front and rear brakes were good. the car wasn't leaking any fluids. i then contacted nissan and they advised i would have to bring the vehicle in for them to check it. while taking the vehicle home fro out trip the problem still existed. it was very frightening to think that this problem just started while driving. this seems to be an ongoing problem with these models and nissan needs to take the appropriate action so nobody is hurt or killed. this car is currently at nissan being repaired. i spoke with nissan and they would not inform me of any problems.....made me feel like they are covering up a serious problem.

while waiting at the stop light, the car had began moving forward, i noticed the release of the pressure of the brake pedal, and begin to press harder to stop the car. it occurred again, this time i pressed harder and notice the pressure was completely released and had to floor the brake pedal. i took the vehicle to the dealership which they performed a multi-point inspection and performed a few recalls (i.e. a/c and airbags), checked brake fluid, brake line and master cylinder which apparently passed their test. while picking up the vehicle, we performed a test drive and notice the pressure was fine. after driving my car for a few days, again i stopped at a stop light and the issue began again. this time, the brake pedal floored itself and did not come up until i had to take the tip of my shoes to push it up.

driving home on long island expressway after work, it was rush hour, the traffic move slow. one exit before i should get off high way, noticed something different when stepped on brakes, it was loose, there was no resistance and the car didn't respond, either took long time to slow down a little bit or not slow down. i have no experiences at all and it didn't register in my head it was the brakes, i even thought maybe i was too tired and my judgement was off. i continued driving in the very slow traffic. soon at the exit, i had to pick up the speed a little bit to merge into the service road. then i really realized the brakes not working, because i can't stop the car at the intersection traffic light, the light turn orange at the moment, i had no choice, turned left , the car continued and slowed down a little bit, just wondering what to do at the next intersection , the left turn signal light was on and i turned the car to the left onto the service road again. i was close to home already. at that moment i didn't know what to do, thinking if i can't stop the car at least i should keep it at very low speed , approximately less than 5 miles. at the next traffic light, the car managed to stop. i didn't know if it was because it was already at the lowest speed and stopped naturally or the brakes still had a little control. for the whole time , since i was very scared and panic, i never realized i should forced the car stop with the emergency hand control brake or just switched to parking position. after i passed the traffic light, i remembered and pulled over on the side of the road and parked my car. then i called geico insurance and aaa to have my car towed to the nearest nissan service center. it all happened between 5:30-7:30 pm. the nissan service center already closed the business hour.

air bag light turn on even though it was occupied. it is not functioning the right way. 4 or 5 months ago i received a letter by mail in regards a recall on vehicle. i took it to the nearest nissan dealership for an inspection and a computer reset. everything was going fine until 8/14 on a friday night we were going to a family reunion. my husband was driving as i was on the passenger seat. we noticed the air bag light turn on again. i would like to know what will be the next step to take? should i take it back to the dealership?

exploded sunroof i woke up one morning to a completely shattered sunroof. the sunroof was blown up. i called the insurance company and they explained they never heard of this happening before. i also contacted the nissan dealership in which i purchased the vehicle from and they also never heard of this happening before. i was asked to drive the vehicle to the dealership which then the sunroof then blew out. when i arrived at the dealership there was a hole in the sunroof. i got most of the damage covered by my insurance but this should of been covered by nissan as this is a defect in the sunroof.
