MOVED CAR BACK INTO GARAGE AND PUT BLOCKS BEHIND THE TIRES. AT THAT POINT, I THOUGHT IT WAS A ONE TIME EVENT. APPROXIMATELY 1 HOUR LATER I RAN AN ERRAND, PUT CAR IN PARK (ON LEVEL GROUND), GOT OUT OF CAR AND IT STARTED ROLLING BACKWARDS AGAIN. I IMMEDIATELY DROVE TO NISSAN DEALER AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED. PERTAINING TO MEDICAL ATTENTION. MY BACK, LEFT SHOULDER AND LEGS ARE VERY SORE (MAY 11). WILL SEE IN A DAY OR SO IF FURTHER MEDICAL IS NEEDED. BLAME WAS IMMEDIATELY PLACED ON MANUFACTURING QUALITY CONTROL AND I AGREE. NO ONE USED THE RIGHT REAR SEAT DURING OUR TRAVELS. HOWEVER I RECEIVED QUITE A FEW COMMENTS ON MY "LOOSE" SEAT BELT! NEW BELT ORDER PLACED SATURDAY 8-16, SO NO ANSWER TO,1) IS ONE IN STOCK AND 2) WHEN WILL IT ARRIVE?. SO UNTIL THE BELT ARRIVES I CANNOT TRANSPORT MY GRANDCHILDREN OR A MAXIMUM OF 2!, I HAVE 7 YEAR OLD TWINS. THE ROGUE IS 5 MONTHS OLD. on sunday january 11th, 2014, my family and i were on our way home. after stopping at a service station my husband pulled onto the highway and was accelerating to the appropriate speed and the car just got stuck at 6500 rpm's and 60 mph. it stayed that way for about 5 miles,we could slow down but the rpm's were still stuck at 6500 and the engine was making a horrible sound, the car would not accelerate and several times we had to ride the shoulder of the road. when we finally reached the road we live off of my husband was able to slow down and turn while turning the awful noise got a little lower but a new noise was heard, a whining sound. after turning, the car lost all gas, nothing happened when the accelerator was pushed and then finally it started to go again. we arrived at our home my husband opened the hood and told me to press the accelerator a little and then he saw small puffs of smoke. i smelled something like burning rubber while sitting in the drivers seat and my husband said he smelled something sweet under the hood. this car was bought brand new on january 4th, 2014, it had 25 miles when purchased. the mileage on january 11th was around 500. this is a dangerous vehicle, i am waiting on the dealership to call and let me know what they find.

tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan rogue. the contact stated that when depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle would not respond until the pedal was depressed approximately half way. the vehicle would then rapidly accelerate for sixty seconds before returning to normal function. the contact indicated that the defect was only present after the engine was warm and the defect would recur intermittently. the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure and no repairs were performed. the manufacturer was notified of the issue. the failure mileage was 300.

the vehicle was purchased two weeks ago. the front passenger seat would not recline, after taking the vehicle to a nissan dealership i was told the front passenger seat had distorted bolts and the wires that were under the front eat were not placed correctly. these wires were for the front passenger airbag therefore; the front passenger airbag would not work if an accident has occurred.

on may 10, 2014, i parked my 2014 nissan rogue in my garage. i put vehicle in park and got out went to the passenger side to get my bag on passenger side rear door when the car started to roll backwards. i ran to back of car to stop it. lucky for me i wasn't behind the car when it started to roll back. i stopped it enough before it hit the decline in my driveway and ran to drivers side and jumped in and hit brake. moved car back into garage and put blocks behind the tires. at that point, i thought it was a one time event. approximately 1 hour later i ran an errand, put car in park (on level ground), got out of car and it started rolling backwards again. i immediately drove to nissan dealer and explained what happened. pertaining to medical attention. my back, left shoulder and legs are very sore (may 11). will see in a day or so if further medical is needed.

2014 nissan rogue has a possible ignition switch issue. when vehicle ignition switch is shut-off, all electrical systems, radio, lights etc., locks fail to either shutdown completely and electric locks disengage. this may lead to further issue such as in the gm faulty ignition switch issue and the subsequent loss of life. nissan company has been told, but fail to acknowledge the potentially dangerous issue.

i drove 10 miles and shut the car off for an hour then got back in and entered the freeway to go home. i drove a couple miles and lost acceleration. at 70 miles an hour on the freeway my car was actively decelerating while i was pushing the gas pedal. i let off not knowing what was happening and the car seemed to accelerate some or coasted more freely. i stepped on the gas and the car slowed down again. i repeated this a couple times before deciding i had to put hazards on and pull over. i am so grateful i didn't get rear ended as i had slowed down rapidly with out any break lights to warn others. when i pulled over and put it in park the check engine light (malfunction light) and also the power steering light came on. it was towed and held overnight until it could be towed to the dealership (apparently nothing can be dropped off when they are closed).

while shifting from park to drive, the top part of the gear shift and the chrome "stem" lifted off. i pushed down to put it back and the button to engage the gear shift and move to different gears was stuck in. the gear shift would not move from neutral or drive and when i parked the vehicle, i had to put it in neutral and apply the emergency brake.

just a complaint that the headrest of the 2014 nissan rogue is very uncomfortable. i am a woman who is 5'4" and i can never get the headrest in a comfortable position, it pushes my head too far forward.

clicked on the keyless off/on button while in "drive" when parking car. the car, at a alarming rate of speed started going backwards. i duplicated this action for my husband who thought i must have had the car in "natural" the car again started going backwards. both events when performed on flat land.

vehicle was being parked. as driver applied brakes, vehicle accelerated forward, jumping sidewalk curb and collided with tree at approximately 10mph. engine continued to run, driver managed to gear to reverse and backed vehicle away from tree, off the sidewalk, back over the curb, and into parking slip. the manual supplied with the vehicle claims that it is equipped with event data recorder capable of storing information prior to and during an accident. dealership claims the vehicle is not.

right rear seat belt disengaged from the upper mounting. when this occurred my grandchild was in his car seat, he is 7, the seat belt just fell into his lap. i was preparing backing out of my driveway, car was in park. when we returned from a trip took, 8-15, took vehicle to my dealer service tech and mgr. quite surprised as were a few others. the bolt threads were stripped about 1/4" from the end. blame was immediately placed on manufacturing quality control and i agree. no one used the right rear seat during our travels. however i received quite a few comments on my "loose" seat belt! new belt order placed saturday 8-16, so no answer to,1) is one in stock and 2) when will it arrive?. so until the belt arrives i cannot transport my grandchildren or a maximum of 2!, i have 7 year old twins. the rogue is 5 months old. of course my concern is how many other 2014 rogues are on the road with this problem. what if i had had an accident with my grandchild or another person in that seat. are my other seat belts securely mounted? it will be hard to feel 100% safe in this rogue. i am sure my dealer will check out my concerns, but what caused the bolt to strip and then dislodge?
