Safety Issue:

Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019-2021 Outback 335CG and 340BH recreational trailers. A section of the frame rail may have inadequate support where the draw bar is attached, allowing the frame rail to buckle.

Potential Risk:
A buckled frame may fail and increase the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will add reinforcement plates to the existing frame, free of charge. The recall began December 15, 2020. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 20-391.

Safety Issue:

Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain 2019 Keystone Cougar, Outback, Passport, Springdale, Bullet and Hideout recreational trailers and 2019 Dutchmen Aerolite and Atlas recreational trailers. The inner hub bearings of the axles may not have been sufficiently greased, which can cause the bearings to overheat and fail.

Potential Risk:
If the bearings overheat, the hub may fail, affecting handling and increasing the risk of a crash.
FREE Recall Solution:
Keystone will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and repair the hubs and bearings, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began January 16, 2019. Owners may contact Keystone customer service at 1-866-425-4369. Keystone's number for this recall is 18-340.

Defect Description:

STRUCTURE

Potential Consequences:

The contact owns a 2019 Keystone Outback travel trailer. The contact stated that after driving over a bump in the road at approximately 50 MPH, the driver was informed by another motorist that the front-end of the trailer appeared to be extremely low to the ground. After stopping and inspecting the trailer, it was discovered that the subframe of the trailer had buckled causing the front-end to lower. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V715000 (Structure). The contact indicated that the vehicle had experienced the same failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 9,000.
