Safety Issue:
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling various 2003-2018 Crossroads, Dutchmen, and Keystone recreational trailers equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V755-5127.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or excessive force may be needed to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Safety Issue:
Keystone RV Company (Keystone) is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Alpine fifth-wheel recreational trailers manufactured August 10, 2015, to December 1, 2016, and Avalanche fifth-wheel recreational trailers manufactured September 11, 2015, to December 1, 2016. The Federal Placard on the affected vehicles may have incorrect spare tire load range information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification."

Defect Description:

Potential Consequences:
The contact owns a 2017 Keystone RV equipped with Sailun S637 Tires Size: ST235/80/R16, DOT, Number: 1YJ276PLY. The contact stated that while pulling in to rest for the night, he noticed that the front passenger’s side tire tread had detached from the tire and was flapping around, causing additional damage to the body of the RV. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The approximate failure mileage for the RV was 8,000 and for the replacement tire was 5,000.
