Defect Description:
SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
The ABS Unit is malfunctioning causing the motorcyle to show K-ACT ABS ERROR. Additionally, both the ABS and KTRC lights illuminated. The motorcycle is available for inspection upon request. The rear brake pedal feel changed dramatically requiring significant additional pressure to be applied to the pedal. The system should have acutated the front brake during this process but it did not. Additional application pressure on the front brake lever was required. When the front brake was applied independent of the rear brake, there was no rear brake actuation. A malfunctioning antilock braking system is the safety issue! The problem has been reproduced by an independent service center. The code found was for a sensor but the sensor cannot be replaced. The entire ABS Unit has to be replaced. The motorcycle has 14,000 miles on it.

Defect Description:
SEATS
Potential Consequences:
JUST BOUGHT THIS NEW MOTORCYCLE AND BRINGING IT HOME FROM THE SHOP (20 MILES) I NOTICED THE SEAT WAS NOT LATCHED. THINKING IT WAS JUST PUT INTO SERVICE, I THOUGHT IT WAS AN OVERSIGHT. NOT THE CASE! EACH DAY/RIDE IN THE FIRST THREE (3) DAYS OF OWNERSHIP, THE SEAT UNLATCHES ITSELF EVERY RIDE! A QUICK ONLINE SEARCH SHOWED ME THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE FOR YEARS. I AM HERE TO SAY, IT IS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED AND NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED!!!
