Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2020-2022 Freightliner Business-Class M2, FCCC Business-Class M2, FCCC S2G (FCCC Business-Class M2), FCCC S2RV, FCCC SC2 (FCCC Shuttle Chassis), 2021-2022 Freightliner 108SD, and Freightliner 114SD vehicles. The windshield wiper linkages may break, causing the windshield wipers to fail.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
Potential Consequences:
The contact owns a 2022 Freightliner M2. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the Forward Collision Avoidance warning light inadvertently illuminated with no traffic nearby. The contact stated that the brake pedal inadvertently engaged, causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle was restarted; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 19,408.

The contact's company owns a 2022 Freightliner M2. The contact stated while driving 60 mph, the front driver seat was not steady and would rock to the side (left and right) and the front passenger recliner was not stable. The contact took the semi truck to the local dealer but was unable to repair the seats. The semi truck was not repaired. The contact called the seat manufacturer and they provided the front driver suspension base and chugger fore and isolator and the front passager recliner kaob kit to be replaced. The contact took the semi truck back to the local dealer but they declined to service the semi truck with replacement parts that she took to the location. The semi truck was not repaired. The contact stated on June 24, 2022, while she was driving 30 mph, she saw white smoke exiting from the hood and started to smell a bad odor. The contact stated the temperature gauge began to rise rapidly. The contact continued driving to a near local dealer: Cummins Sales and Service (1800 Fryar Ave, Sumner, WA 98390: (425) 235-3400): but no failure was found. The contact experienced the engine failure a couple of days later but did not take the semi truck to any local dealer at the moment. The contact owns a 2022 Freightliner XC-M. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V379000 (Tires) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the RV was displaying inaccurate tire pressure numbers and tire temperature numbers as well. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and failure. The approximate failure mileage was 8,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
