chevrolet ss 2014 Complaints

the trim in the chevrolet ss 2014 is highly reflective and during periods of high sun the driver is simply blinded by the trim around gps unit, around shifter, and even the little circle around the start button is enough to blind a driver. this happened on multiple occasions and was strong enough for me to try and cover it or block it while driving or by putting a hand in front of my face. wearing sun glasses does not help unless they cover the full 180 degrees as the reflection hits from the side. this is a common issue and there are many complaints about it on ssforums.com with people painting the trim and customizing it into any color other then the current, on brand new cars! gm already has the same trim in black in australia on the sv6 sedan and can remedy this issue. i have already spoken with chevy support who frequent ssoforums.com and they contacted lori (service manager) at 86th st chevrolet in brooklyn, ny and i was told that there is nothing they can do for me. for this reason, i am raising my concern here as this is a serious safety issue that already has a fix in place but nobody is willing to do anything about it.
