Defect Description:

ENGINE

Potential Consequences:

There are only 5,768 miles on this bike I bought brand new. The AMOLED odometer failed prematurely. The Clutch cable had to be replaced with a new part number. The timing sprocket bearing, engine bearings, and seals failed under warranty causing it to spray oil. In the UK there are massive complaints. In the US there are forums about it. It is a terrible bike. No mechanic knows how to diagnose it. The computer and built in diagnosis says nothing is wrong with it. The Engine is a Kawasaki Versus 650. The bike is a terrible rip off. No one knows what is wrong with it. It is at a certified CFMoto repair shop listed on their website. Everyone of them is defective. It had forwarded bugs with changing km to mph blowing up the screen causing failures. It should be recalled and refunded. It has never fallen. It has been driven lightly, and it is under warranty. But for some unknown reason, it is not even repairable. It has been at New Orleans Powersports for almost 3 months with mechanics that have worked on bikes 25 years. It should have been better quality. Bikes are supposed to last 300,000 miles. There are numerous online complaints about the 650mt, 650nk, and my 650us having leaks. There should have been a recall. 25,000 miles is the high mileage point. The oil and bike has always been cared for by a licensed service department. The screen went out and was replaced. The bike was not leaking oil until I picked it up from New Orleans Powersports about 2 months ago. Their mechanics had 25 years experience. The Shop had it taken to a more professional area at one of their other shops. They are not able to diagnose why it is spraying oil out of the top of the engine. It is not down the middle seal. It blew the bearings and seals in less than 6,000 miles in a year and a half of light touring. All in all, the bike was 11,000 USD. I got ripped off by cfmoto. The bike was not leaking any oil until it got to the shop. They said it was ready. I left it there at pickup for leaks.
