Defect Description:
SERVICE BRAKES
Potential Consequences:
RV batteries (Go Power brand) went into standby mode. The following morning, after the RV was plugged into shore power (50-amp) all night, batteries did not charge leading to complete loss of brakes while tv was hooked to truck. Brinkley RV failed to identify issue or issue safety bulletin/recall to owners. Incident occurred in May 2024 in Indiana. Brinkley serviced the RV following the incident and could not provide an explanation or solution. RV was almost unstable in a safe time/distance due to loaded weight of 20,000 lbs at time of rv brake failure. No warnings inside truck indicated loss of trailer brakes. Brinkley and Camping World in Richmond, IN both verified truck was not the cause for brake system failure and that power was going to RV and brake system.
